I use this mostly to hold imagery from Summit and Stark counties (Ohio) which are large files to use for ArcGis Pro. Every time I move the map it has to regenerate. This can take a few seconds in some circumstances. But the SanDisk SSD is lightning fast! I am amazed how quickly the regeneration takes place. I use it for work and home. I don't see me ever buying an old style back up ever again!

Great fast compact Hard Drive! It works well with Mac products and is so small you can bring it anywhere. Even plugs right into an iPad!

This thing is amazing. I use it to store all of my reports and technical manuals email backups schedules. But then at the same time i have starfield wow and ark on it and i can run them directly off of it without running down my storage. Plus I never have to carry a computer bag. I just pop it in at work and bring it back home and boom i can pick up where i left off.

Pretty expensive. Good deal if you can find on sale. Never had problems with any that I have.

I purchased this on sale, and it was a great price for a 4Tb SSD. For the full asking price, it is only a so-so bargain, but at almost 50%, you can't go wrong. I've used these extreme drives for a few years and find them to be very reliable and excellent compliments for a laptop when doing field phtogtraphy and image processing on locations.

As a photographer this is a necessity! We’re adding hundreds to thousands of photos a week and it’s not failed us yet. This is our 4th or 5th one and I stand by these!

These SanDisk extreme portables have always been rock solid for me. This is my third one and I've never had a single issue—exactly what you want in an external HD.

This is great!!! I am glad to have the high speed SSD to use for holding my Final Cut Pro video projects. I've been using a MacBook Pro M1 Max and moved all my video projects to this external. I haven't really had any latency. Full disclosure, I immediately reformatted the drive to APFS with no loss of space.

I have returned two 4 Tb Sandisk Extreme Pros with prolonged transfer speeds of 950 mb/s read/write speeds. Overall product is great, gets hot tho and I was concerned about its longevity. Con was the dmg file necessary to unlock password protection, if you lose the software included in the drive, you will need to purchase another ssd to download dmg, since software can’t be emailed or found on Sandisk’s website. Although I returned the item after upgrading my internal SSD on MPB 14 inch, if large amounts of storage are needed externally Sandisk is the way to go.

Cannot live without this SSD! I am a photographer so I have a lot of big files that can't be stored on my MacBook. I work off of the SSD and it has made my life a breeze. I cannot say enough good things about it. The speed, the value for what you get, the compact design, everything is a 10/10. Photographers - you need this.

Seems like it works as advertised. I loaded a bunch of video and audio files on it. They play thru TV without a hiccup. I which there was an area to label the outside of it. The micro texture makes that slightly less possible to get a good adherence.

So good I even was able to put all my sims 4 mods on it AND run the sims off the hard drive on my Mac. I also store my music,videos and audios on it as a content creator. 10/10 would recommend. I’d watch this as it sometimes goes on sale and you can get a GOOD deal.

I love this hard disk and it's fast and it's good price.
