I use these for my wedding photography back ups, I have had no issues with crashing, they do get a little hot when plugged in for too long but overall really happy with sandisk.

This SanDisk is exactly what I was looking for to replace my old external disk that had platters that were destroyed when it fell on the floor and I lost all my files for good. Now I don't have to worry as much if this SanDisk hits the floor. This SanDisk is just like having additional internal disk space, very fast and lots of disk space.

I have two of these with this one being the 2nd. I bought this having no issues with the first so figured I'd buy again. After having this unit for about a month or so my data got wiped. Customer service was great and helped recover some of my files - but they didn't give me the whole story. Apparently there is some sort of glitch in the firmware and they knew/know about the issue. I found out by searching the web and was able to piece together what happened after I lost data for a 2nd time. Thankfully, I got someone in support to help identify my unit, upload new firmware and has been working fine since. Please be aware the number on the hard drive case is very hard to see. There is a site to run the number to see if your unit is affected. Initially my unit was reported as not affected but thankfully support performed the update anyway and fixed the issue - been fine since. Though no one wants to deal with unexpected or expected data loss I still recommend this drive, the speed and style. Just do your homework up front and if your data is super important you should have multiple back ups anyway.

Extremely quick, very reliable portable SSD. I use it as a primary working disk for my MacBook and it seems as fast as my internal SSD.

Love this SSD for it's amazing speed in a small, high quality package. I've run various Linux installs on this and they all run flawlessly. I'd recommend grabbing any number of these as you can't go wrong having one or even a few laying around.
