Speed is not bad at all for the price. Here is what I got right out of the box.

The Geek Squad was able to retrieve lost pictures and save them to the flash drives! The best thing that ever happened was to retrieve all my granddaughters wedding pictures. Thank you Geek Squad!

I still have not figured out how to set up this storage device. Because it has some kind of secure access I just wanted to plug it in and put stuff on it but apparently it doesn't quite work that way. That's why it only got three stars because I bought it at least 2 to 3 weeks ago and I still have been able to use it.

Best Buy offer great products and the best price ever.
I'm very happy with my: Behringer - Europower 16-Channel Powered Mixer - Black
I go it a good price, and the option to finance it with not interest for 6, 12 or 18 month. That so cool.

I've said this before, and I WILL say it many more times AGAIN(!) ... SanDisk "flash" memory devices ARE the BEST FLASH MEMORY DEVICES YOU CAN BUY!
I purchased this particular SanDisk - Ultra 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive to be loaded up with MP4 music video and concert files (and some 4K, UHD "demo" clips) so I could plug them "directly" into a brand new Sony XBR-49X700D - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV. ... Loading 115 GB (about 2,620 individual files more or less) of video clips took about 25 minutes, thanks to a "quad-core" computer AND USB 3.0 high speed transfer standards.
So far, the loaded drive has been inserted into the TV for about 50 days, and has performed perfectly, considering it's nearly always "on"; because the TV keeps this flash drive in a "stand-by" state even when the TV is turned off (BUT still connected to the internet ... think about it for a couple of minutes). This flash drive does run "hot" nearly all of the time, but NOT hot enough to be worrying about "meltdown".
I've had some of my SanDisk USB 2.0 flash drives for more than a dozen years now, without one single failure yet. I've had most of my SanDisk High-Capacity USB 3.0 flash drives for 2 to 3 years now, again, without a single failure yet. ... I fully expect this new SanDisk - Ultra 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive to last as long as the Sony TV it's connected to. ---> The TV it replaced was a 17-plus year old Sony WEGA TV that was still working just fine when it was "retired".
Thanks Again to SanDisk AND Best Buy for GREAT, Reliable, Compact Data Storage Devices at Incredibly LOW Prices!!!

I bought the Sandisk - Ultra 128gb Usb 3.0 Flash Drive because of the brand and the specific 128GB capacity along with the USB3 transfer speed. The price, on sale at the time, made it the obvious choice for my limited needs. I just use it for a fast secure transportable backup for all my office computer files. I bought it just before a coast to coast trip so I could travel light, not even taking an ultrabook. That way I was able to work from my flash drive on whatever computer I had access to either in a California office or at my son's home, without wifi/cloud reliability or security being an issue. The drive is compact, has a loop for a chain or key ring, and benefits from a quick and easy slide action. Some may not like the lack of a protective cap of some kind, but for my use it isn't a problem and the fast, one handed slide action access makes it worth having..

We purchased this item for its 128GB capacity, as a gift to a family member. When the item was inserted to a computer, it reads that it has 31.9GB. The giftee is out of town, making returning the item a challenge.

Works as intended. 3.0 speed helps a lot in reducing time transferring lots of files to this drive. Being a retractable drive makes it convenient as well. So far, no problems experienced.

Since I began with PCs back in 1985, as the manager of the first Help Desk for End Users at Citibank's headquarters, in NYC, I have been almost religious about doing backups. We taught our End Users to do backups, and gave them a simple DOS Command File so they could back their important documents up to a 3.5 inch 'floppy disk.'
Over the years I have personally used attached Tape Drives, with ever increasing capacities, until final the Cloud became a reliable method for the destination of backups.
Except that I am paranoid about backing up to the Cloud, or any off-site location not under my immediate control.
I have Thumb/Flash/Jump drives ranging from a 256 MB unit Microsoft gave me as a premium, all the way to this new 128GB capacity drive. I also have about three of each, 32 GB and 64GB, along with some 16GB thrown in for good measure.
With the smaller drives, I would back up specific types of files: pictures, documents, spreadsheets, etc.
With this monster, I can also back up every file created on my PC, and reserve the 64GB drives for an OS backup, with a 16GB drive used as an OS Recovery Disk.
This drive is amazing. Considering my first HD was 10MB and I was amazed at that much space, now my HD is 1TB, with these little gizmos at 128GB.
This is a reliable, stable, and easy-to-use part of my protection for my data, and all necessary data on the network. And still there is room for more.
Don't get caught without any backup at all, and don't rely on your internal HD. If the drive dies, you're going to need to replace all that work for yourself and others.

I’m really impressed with it.Transfer speed are much faster than I expected. I’ve been using it for storing files and moving data between devices, and it works smoothly every time. The build quality feels solid, and the price was great for the performance. I definitely recommend it if you need a reliable storage device.
