The Blu-ray provided an excellent picture and sound. This movie takes place in Georgia right after the end of the Revolutionary War. The hero is a young physician who is placed in charge of a large Southern Plantation after the owner dies. The daughter of the owner does not like her father's decision and plans on getting his will overturned in court. This is a very entertaining movie based on a Frank Slaughter novel. Watch it and you will be glad you did.

Blind buy, I give it 5 stars for the 3d alone If your a big fan of 3d you'll enjoy this movie. The 3d is strong with great depth, the scenes in the rain in jungle is very fun. This movie isn't fast paced and lacks the special effects we have today, so don't expect anything that's movie groundbreaking. if you enjoy and are familiar with 1950s movies, you'll be happy with this title. Excellent transfer thanks to 3d archive for cleaning this up and letting us enjoy this title like it should have always been played

Sold out? Who says 3D isnt popular! Superb restoration from the 3D film Archive from a 4k scan. Colors really pop with fantastic depth in 3D.

Love them even more in 3D!!! I wish they’d make more 3D films. I know people prefer 4K. I don’t. I’d rather have 3D. It’s fun to watch. This was a great conversion.

I like when they restore and release these old movies, the movie looked good, and these old movies have some of the best 3d available.

Thank you Kino for still releasing 3d movies. I would probably have never watched this movie without you releasing in in 3d.

This is a truly gorgeous restoration of the 1953 3D Technicolor film.

It’s 2D. What is 3D about this movie? I just received it and there is a single DVD and nowhere is there an indication of 3D on the disc or the case. Nowhere in the menu options is there an option to play a 3D version. No 3D glasses are required to watch this. It’s 2D. What am I missing, besides a 3D version? Does it mean something different for this movie? Why does it say 3D in the specification tag under Movie Details in BB’s listing. Why is it in the title?

"Sangaree" is a delightful, colorful adventurous period piece shot with superb early 1950s 3-D photography! Fernando Lamas "rooks mahvelous" as does Technicolor/3-D queen Arlene Dahl. It's a pretty ordinary plot but the presentation is lots of fun! AND it's the way 3-D SHOULD be made. If you have the capability to view 3-D at home, "Sangaree," brilliantly restored by the 21st century masters of the "genre fix" for today, is an essential for your collection!
