I'm sorry that you think this is overpriced, however you can rest assured that this mount will hold your TV safely. It is UL listed meaning that it has been 3rd party tested to withstand up to 4x the recommended weight limit!

It's so slim that it doesn't even work!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The lip is so short that you can easily pull your TV off the wall by using the footer mechanism it says makes adjusting cables quick and painless. One side of my ($2500) TV fell off the hook. I barely caught. Had to call a neighbor to help me put it back ever. Now I have to rig up a system of wires through the wall mount and to the TV-side mount as a fail safe. So stupid and a waste of money.

Turns out he didn’t know what he was talking about… What a shame

The BLL2-B1 is a basic, non-articulating mount that must be leveled (read: you need a level to get it straight). That is all we wanted for a flat TV mount. My only complaint is the four provided wall-mounting bolts are total garbage. They are square drive and come with a square-drive bit for a driver/drill. I pre-drilled the stud holes for the bolts, then used the provided square drive bit. The second bolt rounded off the square drive bit AND the inside of the square drive in the bolt with the bolt about 1/2 inch out. Fortunately, I was able to back the bolt out with vice-grips. Tried another, and it rounded out the bolt (not my higher quality bit) when the bolt hit bottom. The first bolt I put in did the same when I attempted to tighten it up. Again, I pre-drilled pilot holes! I am not going to attempt to use the remaining provided bolts. Instead, I am going to use quality construction screws. I cringe at the thought of taking this mount down at any point (like when I sell the house) because I am going to have a devil of a time getting the rounded out bolts out of the wall. The mount is okay, although way overpriced. The wall mounting bolts are cheap.

This mount is a fixed position mount so it does not have tilting, extending or turning capabilities. However it does allow users to slide their TV side to side after installation to help center the TV on the wall.
