This mount is simple and clean. Very easy to install.

This is a really well made mount, I wish it would have worked for me. I got the brackets mounted to the TV, although no spacers could be used though the instructions tell you to, the screws were too sort with them. I mounted the plate on the wall with the help of the included stud finder which worked great! The stud bolts are quite beefy and will give you a workout screwing them in! The drywall anchors are pretty worthless though because as soon as you start to screw in the bolts they turn and then you can just pull them out and leave an even bigger hole in the wall. But the worst thing is that I got it all mounted, and went to hang the TV and found the hanger bracket was about 6" too short for my TV, There are no adjustments, so obviously not all 42" Panasonic TV's work in the 40" to 50" category. Now I get to take it all down and go back for a different one. I wish this would have worked, it's a really nice unit.

I have installed quite a few TV's on the wall with different brand name wall mounts. As others have mentioned, if your studs are spaced perfectly where you want this mount centered then this mount will work for you. Most other mounts that I've worked with are much wider and they have several slots all the way across the mount to screw in the lag bolts wherever your studs may be where you want to mount the TV. Thus, not needing the studs centered exactly where you want the mount to be placed. I returned this one and bought another one at Best Buy.

Overall I am happy with this item, which is my first wall mount. It is sturdy enough to hold my 40", and tilts easily. Included was a stud finder, and a template for placing the lag bolts. The installation instructions were very clear. Installation itself was a bit of a challenge because none of the supplied screws worked for my TV (maybe my TV is non-standard?... It's a new model!!). Called customer service and spoke to a very friendly and helpful guy, who told me what size screws I needed for my TV...so off to the hardware store I went. The other negative is that it doesn't slide side-to-side very smoothly, and gets stuck. That is minor to me though since I don't see me doing that very often. Overall, it is a good solution.

I purchased this mount for a 50 inch set and it does the job. Easy to install, well worth the price.

I actually was going to purchase another wall mount but the customer service employee talked me into this one. He claimed the addition of the stud finder and the band name all made for a better purchase. I have a 50 in Panasonic witch I told him. The bar that mounts on the wall is not long enough the stud finder is a joke ( a magnetic with a sharp needle to pierce the sheet rock) I live 45 min one way from closest Best Buy when I called they let me know their employees just suggest what is best and the box says MOST TV not all and ultimately it was my decesion to buy it. I will bring this back to them along with the other $127 worth of things I got today ( I know its not a lot) but in the future I will always exercise my decesion to no longer shop. there the product failed but iI feel that Best Buy customer service failed even more.

After buying my first mount, i realized mounting above my fireplace i needed a center stud. So i took the first model back (different Sanus - full motion). Mounting between two studs that were not centered to the fireplace either. One would think this model would work, but it requires a minimum of 16" between studs - mine are 14" apart. So back to Best Buy. Nothing on packaging indicates the minimum spacing requirement. So, be advised - know what's behind the sheet rock and know that if they're not at least 16" apart you too will be making the return trip to find one that will work. Ended up with the rocketfish equivalent.

Although the spec sheet shows 23.25" width, the ACTUAL width of your tv mounts can be no more than 19"! Knowing the specs of my tv, I purchased this item and installed it, only to find it doesn't fit. The brackets, when mounted to my tv, are 22" apart. The receiver for this mount will not accept anything wider than 19". Now that my wall is trashed, off to Lowes for some spackle and paint...
