Prior to this we had a 65" Samsung Smart TV here using a different mount. The original mount is great, but would not extend far enough for the 78" to be place evenly over the mantle. (I believe this is due to the stud being centered behind the fireplace.) I wish we would have known this sooner b/c we ended up having to special order the Sanus, but in the end it was obviously worth the wait. So far, so good!

TV with no problem, but there is an issue with getting to the lever and knobs. The TV is 43x71, so reaching the lever which allows left to right adjustment, or knobs which allow pivoting is next to impossible. Other than that, it's a good, sturdy mount.

I like the fact that since your studs may not be where you need them to be centered in the room, the unit has the ability to slide from side to side to make your TV appear to be centered in the wall. Only concern is the price is a bit more than some of the competitors, but have to say it is quality!

Did not fit, after an hour of trying to make it work as I was told it would fit by the salesman at BestBuy, had to go back to the store 30 mile round trip to purchase a rocketfish mount that did fit for half the price. I think I got okey doked by salesman. Not happy!! :.[
