I downloaded final cut pro with it connected and i just thouht let ne unplug it after 10 minutes the download time went from 1 hour to 45 minutes

I did return, however for the upgraded M4. There is currently no version of this product for the M4. I would recommend this, however.

While the SSD itself performed reliably as raw storage, the Satechi dock proved problematic for EFI booting on Apple Silicon. It lacked proper documentation, and during OpenCore setup, I encountered intermittent detection issues that made the boot process unstable and unpredictable. For users pursuing advanced macOS workflows—especially external booting—this hardware pairing is not dependable. I expected better compatibility and transparency from both the product and the retailer. Great for peripherals!

It is plug and play; you don't need to download drivers and it doesn't take up any space because you just sit the Mac mini on it.
