A perfect accessory for my Mac Mini. Having the SSD enclosure worked great.

This item severely degrades WiFi and Bluetooth performance. This is a known issue with no fix according to Satechi. Had I done the research on this model, I would have seen it's riddled with the issue I listed above all over Google and Reddit.

I’d give it a five star because it works regardless of size but this is bigger then the current Mac mini therefore a 1 star… If you don’t mind having this base being bigger then this is for you if you want something flush or actually the size of your product then this is not for you.
Good combination of features, WiFi works OK for me

This has the exact features I wanted to round out my Mac Mini setup, (USB ports, SD card slot, SSD housing) in a slick package. I held off buying it because of credible reports about WiFi and BlueTooth interference problems. But I decided to pick it up from a local store and try it, ready to return it immediately in case of problems. A/B comparison showed no change in WiFi throughput, at least up to the full speed of my cable internet which is 180 Mbps. I realize some people consider that slow, but it's good enough for me. I also don't need much from BlueTooth, just a keyboard connection which still works fine, so I didn't do any testing of BT throughput. All results were still good when I added an SSD, so it's a keeper.

This complements the Mac Mini in both style and function. I now have an ultrafast SSD and the ability to add transfer and auxiliary drives without having to unplug any of my main drives. It adds less than an inch to my stack of drives, reducing clutter instead of creating it.

Depending on your networking setup you may find this device prevents your Mac Mini from actually reaching yoru WiFi network. I was surprised this could happen, but after plugging it in had lost wifi connectivity and this could never be resolved. Ended up having to send it back.
