The mount piece that connects to the dashboard cylinder broke the first time I removed it when I was leaving my car. I didn't want it sitting on the dashboard when I was away from my car. I returned it for a refund.

Works decent for about a month shakes a lot during normal driving but right after the return period ended it stopped sticking to my windshield for more than a couple minutes at a time

I replaced my iPhone 10S with a 14, and had the older Scosche MagicMount that depended on sticking a metal plate on the back of the phone/case, bought another case to fit the new phone, stuck a new plate on it and all was good. I use them both in my car and on my desktop in the office. Then my daughter bought me a custom case for Father's Day with a collage of pictures of my grandkids, and there was no way I was going to stick a metal plate on that. So... time to step up to MagSafe. So I bought two of these. The one in the car works great! Sicks to the windshield better than the old one stuck to the dash, and the phone is not going anywhere, while it used to slip with the old system. The desktop application was a little annoying, it would not stick to a melamine surface with the suction cup alone (the old one did), which required me to use the included semi-permanent adhesive mounting disk on the desk. It's all good, Scosche makes quality products and I highly recommend this one if it suits your needs. I already have Lightning cables in both locations so I didn't need charging capability, be aware this one does NOT provide power.
