This is by far the most reliable & dependable external HD. My backup external drive died after 2 years. It was from another company, a company that I've had great success over the years. So, I picked up a new drive from the same company. That drive died after 3 days, the replacement died in a week! It was time for a new brand. This Seagate drive was easy to setup & it runs flawlessly. The bundled software is excellent. The drive is also extremely quite. I am now a Seagate man.

I wanted to backup my laptop before downloading Windows 10. This was easy to use and has plenty of space to spare for future back-ups. Very pleased with this purchase (and it was on sale - even better)!

If you have a small laptop or tablet with small disk storage this is what you need to free up space! I recently bought a top-rated 13" Samsung laptop only to find that the disk drive was almost full in less than a month! I personally don't want ANYTHING to do with 'the cloud', if I can help it; so, I went looking for an external drive. This Seagate backup hard drive is perfect! Lots & lots of space, fast data transfer, keeps my new laptop 'lean', and keeps it working fast. This Seagate model has more capacity; I've found it to be faster & easier to use; it's more compact & better looking; and is, overall, a better value than the WD disk drives I bought before. Highly recommended.

Seagate Backup plus 3T external usb is a great piece of equipment. It is very easy to use and always works, whether it is plugged in to a desktop or laptop. Highly recommend.

This hard drive works great, I am using it for an rsync backup on a zfs raidz array. Lots of space, good look, high speed, quiet, everything I would look for in a drive.

I go through a lot of drives for my work, and this seems to be a secure, well-priced desk drive. I leave it in one place and use smaller ones when traveling. Great price!

It is compact and lightweight, great storage capacity and no problems this far. Works great with my xbox one and allows me to save all my movies, games and music

This is useful for backing up lots of data. It is a bit heavy to tote back and forth between work and home and needing to plug it in rather than just USB is needed to power its size but inconvenient.

I needed more storage for my computer. Was easy to install, just plug and play. it has fast date retrieval. Seagate has always been a great product for me.

I bought two one saving system images that set to continually update and the second for my picture library. they are easy to set up and economical.

This is a great external and can hold plenty of everything you have and also the dependable seagate name. Very easy to use for both Mac and PC.

I am using it to backup and store my photos. Lots of space and works well. The size fits well out of site and has very little to no noise.

In the process of upgrading an SSD it seemed like a good idea to add some additional storage.
