Had a Seagate for several years and it became incompatible with Windows 10. Thought about going with a company like Carbonite but decided that I did not want to pay a monthly fee. I had my Seagate for years and years and very reliable. Transferred all of the old data onto the Windows 10 and now using the new Seagate with tons of storage and on a continuous backup. Way to go!!! Highly recommend this product.

As advertised, slender! Love the portability that comes from these self powered drives. Although I cannot speak to the reliability of this specific drive (as I just recently purchased) I have had excellent luck overall with modern drives and have not had one fail yet. I gave "value" a "good" because although $ per TB is excellent (especially compared to the past), $ per TB is better for larger drives and especially for desktop drives. You pay a little extra for the self powered and I have devices that only except a 2TB max, hence this purchase.

This is an external hard drive that I am using as a backup device for a laptop. Format it as NTFS (not required) and it's good to go. Easy peasy. Two TB is sufficient space if used judiciously. The device is powered by the laptop and is sufficiently fast. Of course, it can be used as any form of external storage when flash drives or memory cards are not big enough.

Much smaller than my old backup hard drive. I never realized that external hard drives only have a five-year life expectancy. Learned that the hard way when I lost all my old photos. They should warn customers so you can get them backed up before the external hard drive fails.

I bought this hard drive for my wife to use to back up her photo collection at home. The added benefit is that it is durable and lightweight, so it can be used for to show her work or do immediate backup, when she travels. It does just what we hoped it would do, and more.

This is and has been a life-saver for me. I'd never used one until 2018 and I bought this one when the first one died. It's been great so far.

The harddrive is very handy because of its size and can store alot of data.

Computer would not recognize drive through the docking bay, and built-in software wouldn't work. Kept giving a drive read/write error. Plug directly into Surface Book and used Windows 10 built-in backup and then everything worked. What should have been an easy setup, tuned out to be a frustrating 40 minutes ordeal.

These seagate slim drives are the only ones that I can successfully download my video library onto to play on my tv. Much easier than storing all those DVDs and blu rays and dealing with them!

I got this for my playstation a while ago and it still works and that is saying a lot. been dropped several times. kids...

The Seagate Backup Plus Slim is a great size, and it seems to work well. I never needed to rely on my old Seagate drive because my old computer worked fine. I hope to continue the same way with the new computer.

Great item to use to store Xbox games. Lots of terra bytes allows for many games to be installed
