They had no problem learning to ride them (even though it was their first time on one). The speed is perfect for smaller kids. Wil definitely be buyfor other grandchildren as they get older!

Great beginner scooter

My 8 year old loves his and has mastered it and is ready to get something even faster. Overall a really good scooter for beginners
