There are 3 speed modes, which is really convenient for my younger one as he adjust to an electric scooter and a faster speed for older one that thinks shes a pro. I didnt realize until they were riding at night but it colors under the scooter as they are riding. Definitely worth the buy for kids aged 6-8.
