I'm always amazed of how much fun you can have with these platform games. They are simple, easy to play, and at the same time, they offer just enough challenge to keep you hooked. It is definitely an awesome change of pace from your regular hack-n-slash, shooter or RPG counterpart. I've found myself playing this game until my battery runs out, Yoshi's new Island is a game that deserves a place in your collection, as it is a very entertaining title; and the best part, its price.

If you like the Yoshi series of games, this is a good one to get. It's challenging, fun and frequently cute. The only 2 issues I have with it are some of the musical tracks being not great and the fact that, visually, it isn't always appealing. They tried going for a crayon-esque look and it doesn't always work. The gameplay is what matters though and that aspect of the game is brilliant. If you don't mind the visuals and the occasional bad track, you should be able to enjoy this game.

For $19.99 this game is an excellent value. If you're a fan of Mario games on the DS you'll like this as well. It's also very colorful. Great for children.

My 9 year old daughter absolutely loves this game. My daughter is new to "gaming" so this game may not be as challenging to other 9 year olds. However, I love the way she is learning to strategize and overcome obstacles as she moves from level to level. Definitely kid-friendly.

The original Yoshi's Island was an overlooked amazing game! This is a fabulous sequel.

Bought this game for my boyfriend, who grew up playing Yoshi's story and the like. He absolutely loves it. It is a great casual platformer that is much like other Mario-series games, but it is very forgiving and a lot of fun. WELL worth the $20 price tag!

This is an absolutely great deal for its price. I bought it for my boyfriend as a surprise and he has gotten many hours of enjoyment from it! Any fan of the classic Yoshi and Mario games will love this, and it is a very forgiving game.

My daughter is six so it is hard to find games that are kid friendly and easier to play. Yoshis New Island is perfect. It is easy to play, the game looks great and it has good music. Pefect for young kids.

This is a great game for anyone who has a 3ds. If you missed the original release it is now part of the Nintendo Selects. This is a great addition to any 3ds collection one of the best games on the system,

As expected from Nintendo, this game has solid platforming that's still a lot of fun. Not overly difficult, this is a bit more casual and kid friendly.

I'm fan of yoshi, the game history and graphics are great, I still playing this game and I'm having fun playing it with my son.

My daughter didn't like this game at first, but it grew on her.It was a little hard at first, but once they get the hang of it, it's very fun.

Let me start by saying that this game isn't going to be for everyone. The game has been in development for 4+ years and there is no way it will be able to live up to the extremely high expectations. With that out of the way, so far, the game is very engaging, though it doesn't do much hand-holding. That in itself is going to put some people off. All in all though, I really enjoy the game and might give it an even higher rating after I've put another 30 - 40 hours in and experienced more of what the game has to offer.

Loved playing Yoshi's Island on my super nintendo when I was young. This game definitely makes me miss the good old days. Too bad I loved it so much that I completed it in 2 days.

My son is 6 yrs old and loves this game. It was his first 3DS game and his first game console. Controls and levels were easy enough for him to beat, but yet challenging enough to keep adults attention. I played levels he beat as there are additional items you can collect when completing each level.
