I have every generation of the True Wireless earbuds. The third gen was a big improvement in every way but had reliability issues. The active noise cancellation is even better on this generation than the third. I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

the good:
* sound quality - For me, sound quality is the single most important feature of my earbuds, and for this latest Momentum earbud, sound quality is *exceptional*. Bass is punchy but not loose or overbearing, highs are crisp but not fatiguing, mids are slightly recessed, not so much a V shape sound signature but more of a shallow U shape. There are others on the market that sound good…these sound great. If audio is the most important thing to you by far, these are some of the best currently out there.
* fit - Just slightly less important than sound quality in my book is fit and comfort. Again, these deliver in spades. Nothing uncomfortable or fatiguing about them, and no issues wearing them over long listening sessions at work or exercising.
* ANC - I haven’t tried them on a plane yet, but for a daily driver, the ANC is up there with the likes of Bose and Apple.
* mobile app - For me, this one is huge. HUGE. I’m an Apple guy, which means I mostly have Apple devices and Apple TV’s around the house. The ease of transitioning from device to device in the Apple ecosystem with Airpods can’t really be matched, but these are a strong second because of the mobile app and one important feature; they can connect to 2 devices at once. What this means is, you can keep these connected to your phone, but then connect/disconnect them to other devices all while staying connected to the iPhone. Super convenient to move back and forth from say, my work laptop taking calls (Windows) to the iPhone for music, to maybe TV I watch from the elliptical (Google TV) to the TV in my bedroom if I’m trying not to wake up my wife (Apple TV). Not that I go from one to the next back to back (who has time for that much TV!), but it is super easy to move from one device to the next.
* touch controls - The touch controls work surprisingly well, not nearly as many false hits as some other brands I’ve used. Some of the controls are customizable as well.
* battery life - Solid 7 hours of battery with the earbuds themselves, or 30 hours total with the case.
* connectivity - Nice assortment of supported codecs, including full lossless audio.
* earbud design - Discreet and low-key premium look and feel.
the bad:
* bulky charging case - Not huge, but significantly bigger than some others. You won’t necessarily just slip this guy into your pocket the way you could something like an Airpods case.
* price - A little bit on the pricey side, which might prevent some from considering them unless sound quality is at the top of their list.
misc:
* limited color options - 3 color options at the time of this review. Nothing overly adventurous or designed for self expression, still elegant and classy in my opinion.
* transparency mode - It’s not as good as some of its competitors, but it’s functional.
overall:
These definitely aren’t perfect, and they aren’t for everyone. That being said, they are absolutely solid enough to earn a 5 star rating in my opinion. If sound quality, fit, design, and connectivity are equally important for you, these are a fantastic option.

Ordered momentum 4, open box, what was received was not the 4 . Once I tried pairing the ID of the ear buds showed momentum 2. Returned for refund. Be careful when purchasing open box

As an avid music enthusiast, I was eagerly anticipating the experience promised by Sennheiser headphones. However, upon testing, I was deeply disappointed by the subpar sound quality they delivered. No matter how meticulously I tweaked the equalizer settings, the sound remained dismal.
Comparing them to Bose, it's evident that Sennheiser falls short in delivering a satisfying audio experience. Bose headphones undoubtedly offer superior sound quality and clarity, making the Sennheiser headphones pale in comparison.
In conclusion, Sennheiser needs to go back to the drawing board and address the glaring issues with their product. The promise of premium sound quality associated with the brand was not fulfilled, leaving me utterly dissatisfied with what can only be described as garbage in the realm of audio devices.

These headphones are completely unreliable. I bought my first set from Best Buy on 8/25/2024. I had to RMA the first set in December of 2024. The right earbud developed a crackling and popping sound, and then failed completely. Took almost a month to get my replacement set, and now nearly 8 months later the right earbud has the EXACT SAME ISSUE. I've since found that this is a massive problem with this model, and feel the need to warn others. These are junk. Avoid. Can't believe I spent so much money on this junk.
