The best BT listening devices I have ever used

Living in New York City, you can’t help notice that it seems every other person on the street is walking around with earbud headphones. It’s as much a functional accessory as it has become a status and fashion symbol. They are usually white and have little stems that hang down from the ears. I have typically been an early adopter of technology and have tried a few different types of earbuds, never finding ones that worked well. They disconnect when you run, turn your head, move your phone and the voice and audio quality is fair or just poor. I have returned every pair I have owned. That’s why I still use an “old-fashioned” mono style Bluetooth earpiece – until now. I owned and operated a camera and video superstore for over 25 years. So, when I heard one of the most trusted brands in our industry had high-quality ear buds I ran out and got a pair of Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless Earbud Headphones at Best Buy. Pairing to my smartphone was easy and almost automatic. Their app, “Sennheiser Smart Control” is also easy to use. It has limited functionality but has an equalizer and the ability to reduce eliminate noise-canceling through the “Transparent Hearing” setting. This allows you to chose whether to hear outside noises or not. That’s very cool. All controls are available though a press on the outer buttons on the buds. Push on the right side for volume up and left side for volume down. That’s very cool. Another cool feature is the buds turn off music when you take one out of your ear and they turn on and off (and pair) when you take them in and out of the very high quality charging case. They come with several sizes of ear fittings and they are very comfortable and snug in my ears. Performance: I ran with them and they stayed put in my ears. I walked with them for several hours and was not tired of them at all. I used them in the rain, moved my phone around on my body and they stayed paired flawlessly with no skips. Sound quality is great on both listing and speaking and the volume goes very high, which is unusual for their small size. When I consider factors such as ergonomics, performance, size and fit, I can say with confidence that these Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless Earbud Headphones are the best Bluetooth listening devices I have ever used. Sennheiser’s flagship MOMENTUM range of headphones continues to break new ground through an outstanding fusion of advanced technology, uncompromised sound performance and the highest quality materials. They have brought their peerless MOMENTUM ethos to a breakthrough new product – the MOMENTUM True Wireless. The premium Bluetooth earbuds set new standards for audio quality, comfort and craftsmanship. So, I guess it’s time to retire my “old-fashioned” mono style Bluetooth earpiece. I will be enjoying a new way of listening to my phone audio, but I won’t have any ugly white stems hanging from my ears.

    Amazing sound quality

I've been on the market for some truely wireless ear buds for a while now. I wanted some comfortable, sleek, great quality sounding ear buds... I tried out the Seinnheister true momentum ear buds and the Jabra Elite Active 65T. If you're looking for ear buds with amazing sound quality -- I'd highly recommend these!!! The sound quality is superior. Functionality wise, I would say the Jabra elites beats the Seinnheiser out right. The Jabra Elite Active 65T can connect up to 5 devices at a time and the Seinnheiser can only connect to one device at a time. If you wanted to connect to another device you would have to manually turn the Bluetooth on and off on each device to connect and reconnect ... It was a bit of annoyance. The Jabra Elites can connect to mutiple devices at one time. Great for users who have two work phones, and or is always on the go. At one point, I connected to two phones and my computer ... I accepted calls from both devices and also was able to listen to my laptop. It was a great function to have!! The background/ambient noise option on the Jabra seem to be more loud and more clear compared to the Seinneheiser. Nonetheless it does what it needed to do. As far as the case goes - I would say the Seinnheiser case is pretty neat. The ear buds are magnetic..so even if you open it on the wrong end..they won't fall out.. whereas the Jabra elites would fall... BUT...I kind of wished Seinnheiser would offer the manual on and off switch on each ear buds... Unfortunately the only way to turn them off is to put them back in the case .. and whenever you put them in the case.. they would automatically charge.. and that would be the only way to turn it "off" ... If the case is out of batteries... The ear buds will still be in "idle" mode for about 20 minutes instead of completely turninf off.. so ..you never really know if it's truly off... The only other way to help make it turn off would be turning of the Bluetooth from the connected device..so it was a bit of an hassle.. In comparison, the Jabra elites offers the option to manually turn off both ear buds or one or the other. If you're very active and live a very active (sweaty) life style --- Id recommend the Jabras over the Seinnheiser.. only because the Jabras have a higher water resistant rating compared to these. As far as battery life goes - the right Seinnheiser ear bud always seem to have lower battery percentage compared to the left. I'm assuming it was because it was the main connector to the phone ... But I never really had the opportunity to put a full charge to test..since the only way to turn them off is to put it back in the case lol... Overall, I love the sound .. and if you can live with the simple functionality ... I'd definitely recommend these!!! It was very hard and sad to see these go... But functionality wise.. I definitely prefer the Jabra elites ... But, for the time being.. I'm still on the hunt for something that has the sound and functionality.. unfortunately still no luck!

In our family headphones are a big deal. Headphones are part of our daily life as well as one of the top go-to items when we travel. My husband and I  use headphones to listen to favorite music and stream movies while we work. Our son with autism uses headphones to help him calm down and tune noises. For years, we’ve looked for small sized headphones to pack, but the trouble is that when we've settled for the smaller headphones the quality of the sound was just not there. After years of looking around for a set of compact headphones with an exceptional sound, we finally came across the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless earbud headphones. These small buds manage to combine advanced technology with uncompromised sound performance. One of the things our son hated for years was the pressure of the headphones against his ears on long haul flights. Well, these certainly fix the problem. Though quite large and hefty for wireless buds, the momentums provide excellent noise cancellation. For the first time in years, our son can sit and listen to his movies for hours totally undisturbed. I’ve got to admit that when I first saw the earbuds, I was pretty skeptical about how good they could be. I was wrong! The  sound is impressive.  Those little buds manage to deliver superb clarity that I haven’t come across in any other headphones- wireless or wired. The folks at Sennheiser know their wireless buds are among the most expensive in their class, so they made sure to use the top of the line technology in the design. There are so many adjectives Id like to use to describe them, but I will only use a selected few that come to mind like;  compact, elegant, and packable! But as a mom, my favorite feature is the transparent hearing. The earbuds can go from soundproof to being able to hear what’s going on around you just by tapping the right ear twice. Mmm, no more excuses starting with  'Mom, I didn't hear you...' What you should know Since the buds come with no buttons switches or labels, you might be slightly puzzled at first how the earbuds work. To start you off here some helpful tips: #download the free app for ioS and Android. It will help control, personalize, update, and configure your headphones. #hold both touchpads for 5 seconds to turn on pairing mode. # tap left earbud once to play and pause music. #hold  left bud to control music volume.tap right earbud once to access Google Assistant, Siri or Cortana. #tap right bud to answer phone calls. #the earbuds have four adjustable sizes. It may take a few minutes and trials to get the right fit, but it is worth it. #Check pockets before doing laundry! As I mentioned before these pups are super small and can be forgotten in a pocket. Worth the price? Again, it depends on your needs but our short answer is yes. If you enjoy the crisp sound on headphones and seek quality, these buds are a great investment. At a  $300 price tag, they are on the pricier side;  but for tech buffs and avid listeners to music, they are the way to go.

The best sounding true wireless headphones

I’ve been holding out for a while on purchasing a pair of “true” wireless earbuds. I’ve been using the Bose SoundSport Wireless for a few years now, which are already pretty good wireless headphones, but they’re not “true” wireless. I purchased my Sennheiser Momentum’s from Sennheiser because BestBuy had them on backorded when they first came out. I have to say that I am very impressed by the sound quality as an audiophile. My favorite pair of wireless headphones to this date are my Bang and Olufsen Beoplay H7’s (which are around the ear headphones), and I have to say that these have a similar sound signature to those, which is very high praise for true wireless earbuds. The sound is very detailed and rich, and I love how you can change the sound profile in the app, much like the H7’s. They’re also one of the better looking true wireless earbuds in my opinion, not like those stupid toothbrushes everyone is wearing these days (AirPods). The case they come in is also very nice, and so far the battery life has been decent. My only complaint is the same issue others have been experiencing with the battery. It seems like the issue has gotten better the more I’ve used them, but sometime when you put the earbuds back into the case, they won’t automatically turn off and disconnect from your phone, causing them to be completely dead the next time you use them, but this can probably be fixed with a firmware update. Otherwise these are definitely the best true wireless earbuds on the market.

I've always been a Bose fanatic. I've known the Sennheiser brand but never looked in their direction. I've owned the Bose Soundsport Free's for the past couple of years. Liked the feel and the sound of the Soundsports but they started to have issues. I was going to get another pair when I came across the Sennheiser Momentums. I figured, let me do some research. Read all the positive reviews and youtube videos. The only thing that I hesitated about was that it was $100 more. So figured I'd give Sennheiser a chance. I have to say, I'm glad I did! The sound signature that the Sennheisers put out is amazing. Its not bass thumping like Beats but there is enough base there to make you feel it. You can actually hear other instruments that you can hardly hear with the Bose Soundsport Free's. The Bluetooth connection is flawless and when making calls, both earbuds can be used (unlike the Soundsport Free's you can only use one). Calls are mostly clear but you can hear just a little background noise but nothing bad. They are very comfortable in your ear and they are not loose if your using the right size earbuds. It uses touch controls vs buttons which is nice. Its not noice cancelling which would have been nice for the high price you pay but with the right fit of earbuds, the outside noise is practically blocked out when music is playing. There is a mode that allows the mics to pick up surrounding noise as you listen for safety or just want to hear whats going on around you. The app lets you customize the sound and found the app to be easy to use. Overall, I totally recommend these if you can afford them. If your going to spend $200 on wireless headphones, you might as well give these a look at.

I was so excited when my Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless Earbud Headphones arrived in the mail. I could not wait to try these out. I have a pair of blue tooth headphones I like to use when I work out or at work but they still have wires that get in the way and get tangled up. They also do not fall out when you work out! As you can see from this picture, I was getting super sweaty from the elliptical and doing burpees and planks! They stayed in the entire workout. No readjustment needed. One of my favorite features of the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless Earbud Headphones  is when you take one ear bud out the headphones automatically pause - called smart pause. I also LOVE that it was super easy to connect the headphones via Bluetooth 5.0. The connection and sound is great. I would highly recommend these headphones for someone who loves to listen to music or podcasts and wants great sound without the hassle of cords or wires! These earphones are super comfortable as well so you can wear for hours on end without discomfort in your ears.

After researching many of the wireless earbuds, I chose these. So I can hear nuances in music that I hadn't heard before even with some of my wired ones. The highs are crisp but not harsh. At first I was disappointed with the bass, but this is due to the lack of seal with the stock silicone tips. This is my one suggestion to Sennheiser and you and that is if you want a more secure fit and better bass, get the comply foam ear tips. They provide for a must better bass response and more secure fit. If I had any complaints it would be about the app that is suggested to download, which is not necessary but handy. The Equalizer works on a parabolic curve, and does not give you the opportunity to to an individual bands. This can be overcome by getting using a better music app such as power Amp. In reviews that I read the one complained that some people had was the fact that if you leave the ear buds without them being connected to the charging cord after a certain amount of time they will lose their charge. But at this time this hasn't been a problem for me but should be something to consider in the future you're going to be going long time without the ability to connect them. Other than that I have no complaints about these.

After reading early trade reviews, I had been waiting for these to become available, and they did not disappoint. Sound quality is excellent--in fact comparable to my Sennheiser Momentum headphones. The MTW buds are very comfortable in my ears, and they are very stable; once set in my ears, they stay put and do not require a lot of readjustment to maintain sonic quality. I tried a pair of Comply tips as a substitute for the tips supplied by Sennheiser, but they did not offer any better performance than the stock issue. The companion app (iOS in my case) has a very slick equalizer that allows easy adjustments that make a real difference in the sound. I know that headphone and earbud ratings are very subjective, but I've found so far that the MTWs measure up to all Sennheiser's claims. One caveat: some reviews seem to imply that the MTWs are active noise cancellers. Maybe that was just my wishful thinking, but the fact is that while the MTWs allow you to boost the level of ambient sound, they do not have any active noise cancelling capability. I have not tried the MTWs on an airplane--the acid test for noise isolation/cancelling, so I don't yet know if they will substitute for my Bose (wired) QC earbuds.

Tried also in comparison the Master and Dynamic 07(nice sound but no eq adjusting app and too low volume)the B&O E8 2.0 (Closest competition clear bass with interesting sound signature and separation in the highs and drum beats, sometime in highs on certain songs it has a very small distortion and can be a little sharp, also the app adjustments did not change sound much feels limited) the Sennheiser True wireless headphones feels louder with a nice soundstage strong clean natural bass with clear highs. The app is the best with a clever easy to adjust eq, eq settings saved to the EarPods, unlike the B&OE8 2.0s these really do adjust very well. Sound Quality and Powerful feel is over all the best in my opinion after extensive back and forth testing all the way until the batteries ran out on multiple occasions. Other headphones I have for reference Shure PTHE500 wired, Grado wired, Blue Mo-Fi, Isotunes Pro wireless (woodworking), Jaybird Tarha Pro (14 hour play time for extended listening)

My first thought was there’s no way I’m paying that much for these! But after reading other reviews I thought ok well maybe they’re worth it. I’m glad I didn’t go with my first thought! These are expensive but in my opinion they are worth it. The sound quality and clarity is outstanding for any size headphones I’ve ever tried. They are better sounding than my beats solo 3, my beats studio, and my AirPods. My only suggestion would be make sure you have a good fit in your ears. When I first tried them on even the large silicone tips didn’t really fit. The bass sound was really weak and the treble was way to much for my liking due to the fit. If the fit isn’t right you will be disappointed with the sound! I was ready to return them and try something different. Fortunately I had some larger silicone tips I decided to try from some other in ear buds and they created a perfect fit and totally changed the sound. Even with this small issue I still think they deserved 5 stars! I hope eventually Sennheiser will give you even more sizes for the silicone tips.

Was disspomted when I first bought these. Comparing to Shure 846 wired and B & O e8 I was disappointed with getting the correct fit, which ensures bass response as well as sound isolation. The combination of bud sizes and shape of the earpiece wasn’t allowing the correct connection to my ear canal. On a whim I walked into an inmotion store at the airport and asked if hey had any ear tips that fit these. Was happy that a young knowledgeable sales associate said “try the comply tips”.... Oh My Word Radically different experience. Turned down the volume, neutralized the eq and I enjoyed the massive sound stage and separation. Balanced with a full low end and great clarity in the mids Highly recommend. My opinion? If there are sound issues it’s not the earpiece performance - it’s the earpiece fit - same with IEMs Sennheiser considering offering these foam comply tips as an earpiece option.... OBTW - the medium comply round tips fit in the charger....

One of the things the MOMENTUM line has been known for its quality products. That quality doesn’t just focus on the sound, it’s the overall design of the products in this line. The first thing you’ll notice with these earbuds is the polished metallic spin ring with the Sennheiser logo. The charging case is covered in a tough cloth that makes it feel premium. There are multiple different ear tips that come in four different sizes so you can find the right one that works for you. But most importantly, these earbuds are lightweight and slim, making them easier to use regularly. What you won’t see is the 4-hour battery life, the zero sacrifice mentality when it comes to sound and the Smart Control features that make these true wireless earbuds top contenders.

Just a note before hand, I reviewed these based on audio quality since that is what I bought them for. While the audio quality is clearly sennheiser and by that I mean it is one of the best if not the best when it comes to true wireless earbuds. I only really found 2 drawbacks for these and they are the battery and pairing. Pairing with the phone itself is not an issue at all, however the problem is that it pairs with my phone even when I have them in the charging case. When I notice that this has happened and disconnect them, they instantly go to no battery even if the cases led was green prior to the connecting (and only being connect for a few seconds) however there is a supposed firmware update in the works to fix this. Overall, I would give them a 4.5 since the problems I have with them do not really effect me that much and the audio quality more than makes up for it.

While we all know who pioneered the true wireless buds, Sennheiser's Momentum buds enter the race with features that lead the pack. My husband set his phone down and walked 27 yards before there was any sort of disconnect between his device and the Sennheiser's buds. There is virtually no delay when tapping to command the buds to play or pause. Instant recognition when a bud is removed from the ear that pauses the audio. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless Buds may not have invented the idea, but they've elevated it into an incredible audio experience with comfortable fit, long range and 12 hours of play time (with 2 full charges from the case).

When I unboxed my Sennheiser earbuds, the first thing I noticed was how sharp they were. The earbud’s silver and black color scheme is clean and crisp, and the case – which doubles as a mobile charging dock – features a fabric-like, slate gray finish with black accents for a truly striking look. That being said, we all know looks aren’t everything so what else did these earbuds have to offer? Unlike many earbuds that have a tinny sound, these earbuds have a nice, round bass to them that adds the depth and body that we all love to hear in our music. It also provides excellent sound when viewing television and movies. I was thoroughly pleased with how well these earbuds translated the audio of some of my favorite movies right into my ear canal. They provided me a nice audio range with no latency, which is key when watching movies. Even while viewing Infinity War, I never had an issue with sound clarity, depth, lag, or stuttering.

These headphones give you detail that other wireless headphones can’t capture. The default bass is smooth and deep. (Add the bass boost equalizer in Spotify if you love even more bass... & they still will not distort at full volume as well as having a little higher ceiling volume.)The mid's and highs are louder, more present, and clearer than my old Powerbeats 2 headphones. The Beats were alright but I’ve always missed the detail that my wired Senheiser’s had. I wore them for over 4 hours straight, and they were surprisingly comfortable as my ears are sensitive to some in-ear headphones. I do highly recommend these.

My 5 stars are based on the audio quality, whether its streaming audio or video or listening to content on my device, the sound is great. Also, the earbuds stay secure in my ears during my workouts and this was the true purpose of my purchase. For use for phone calls, I don't think the mic picks up the voice as well as the apple airpods, but are good enough to take a quick call. So if you want wireless earbuds for making significant phone calls, I don't think these are the best for you, but if you want great sound quality for streaming music and video, these earbuds are great. And the added controls such as EQ and other settings allow for some customization. The EQ could have better user control, but I've found that the flat EQ sounds great and you get a pretty perfect blend of the full sound spectrum.

I have tried a few of the true wireless buds on the market and have always fallen back to the AirPods because they either didn’t offer enough improvement for the sacrifice in convenience or just flat out weren’t better. If you own an iPhone, you will be hard pressed to find buds that beat the convenience of them. Now where these shine is above and behind is audio quality. The bass especially is clean but powerful, the mids and highs clear. Great sound isolation, but with a transparency mode that can be helpful to hear the outside world. I have no cut outs between the ear pieces which is a frequent complaint when dealing with non AirPod true wireless headphones. So far, the connection seems strong. I would say, sometimes on YouTube I noticed a slight audio lag but its tolerable. Would recommend,

Sound is stunning. Fit is perfect. Look it simple and attractive. Touch features work well and convenient. I have been using Jabra Elite Active 65t but the sound, fit, look of the Sennheiser is much better and appreciate the simple touch controls of the Sennheiser vs. Jabra Elite Active 65t. Jabra Elite Active 65t are also a great set of earbuds and if you dont have the money to spend $300 on Sennheiser then Jabra Elite Active 65t is a perfect choice that works well no complaints from me. Sennheiser is just better in every way and if money is not object and if you want the best look no further than Sennheiser. I am still stunned at how well these sound just amazing Sennheiser crushed it in that department and fit for gym that I go to every day for couple of hours has been perfect - very secure no fallouts

I was lukewarm on the idea of wireless. I worried they would fall out when I work out at the gym. But they were great. I fit them with the right earbuds (the package comes with four different sizes) and did my workout and at some point I stopped thinking about them. I even stopped thinking about my workout and ended up walking 10 extra minutes on the treadmill. When I listen to well-recorded semi acoustic music by Van Morrison or Lucinda Williams, and Motown and Jazz, these earbuds created tremendously big sound. I could close my eyes and feel like I was in a room with a large stereo and speakers. I kid you not. Really terrific separation and stage presence. From the highs of the hi-hat and cymbals to the deep bass, these earbuds delivered everything with great authority. Definition was good and handled in a way that listening fatigue was not a problem.
