If you thought you had an idea of what this movie was about just from the trailer, you'd be wrong. There isn't much that goes wrong in the film with the performances of it's top billed cast members. They give some great in character insight to keep the movie going. There is a small blink and you'll miss it moment as the movie opens that pays off later in the movie. I'm not sure how else to describe this movie though. It would be seen as thriller slash suspense flick, but it pays off in such a way you did not see it coming. Matthew McConaughey and Ann Hathaway do a great job with their characters and that helps you stay invested in the movie. I guess you're just going to have to watch it to see what we mean. Enjoy.

I saw a trailer for this and it looked very interesting. "No one can die in ..." So I wasn't sure if it was going to be a horror film or a supernatural film. As it rolled out I wondered if it was ripping off another film from the 80s. I invited my daughter to watch and we both scratched our heads trying to figure it out. In the end it's a bit of a surprise but not. It's a slow burn but the pay off isn't as good as hoped for.

I've always been a Matthew McConaughey & YET, the movie starts out slow...storyline doesn't really develop until about halfway thru...Anne H. is a vivacious one-dimensional character & quite different from previous casting. THE last 25 minutes tie the story up well, BUT need to watch again, & get another listen to all the lines!

I was pleasantly surprised to see MM and AH in another film together. This time they play ex-spouses with different agendas, which makes for a sensational suspenseful movie. She must contact MM as her controlling new spouse is more than she can handle. He is led on a fishing expedition and is in store for a shark tale of his own.

The movie shows the viewer the power of the mind in constructing it's own world of belief versus reality. The movie leaves you hanging in your thoughts on what characters are real or not along with what situations are true or false. Definitely holds your attention throughout the entire movie.

This is an intersting film. Seems kinda hokey at first but once it becomes somewhat clear what is going on it makes more sense to why it's so extreme. Good performances by all and an cool idea.

An unexpected twist in the movie which moved it from ok to good. I will watch it a second time with a new perspective.

Upon reading reviews about this movie there was a lot of likes and dislikes about the movie it had me second guessing myself about purchasing the movie but I went out on a limb and took a chance to see what all the fuss was about after watching the movie I really enjoyed it thought it was a good movie I would recommend it to anyone that likes a good mystery movie.

Matt and Ann Hathaway sizzle up the screen in this slow paced thriller.Enjoyable.

I missed it in the theater so ordered it online. I wasn't disappointed. The movie kept me guessing until the end.

Ok movie but the sex scenes were really not needed....& what was the point for Diane Lane’s character? It was demeaning if I might add. I usually like Matthew’s movies but this one was just meh.
