I absolutely loved playing through shadow of the tomb raider. I purchased and played this game at the release of it back in 2018 on PC but now I am buying it for my Xbox one x. I've played through all three games over a few times because I enjoyed them so much. I'll say this definitely feels like the next chapter in Lara's story that began in the 2013 reboot. I'd recommend playing tomb raider 2013, Rise of the tomb raider, and this in a heartbeat. The story is very interesting and throughout the games Lara can be seen evolving as a person through the many hardships she faces. I don't want to spoil anything for new players. There's an awesome amount of puzzle solving in shadow and the tombs are much more massive compared to rise of the tomb raider and crypts are quite nice too with a little surprise at the end of each. I'd say visually the game is very pretty looking with various lighting shining through the foliage of the jungle setting of the game. I did notice that the character model for Lara herself looks stunning but I think rise of the tomb raider had better mocap tech from the research I did. Overall I think the game's story builds on The first two games and it's evolutionary. The story is rich, puzzle solving is very satisfying and rewarding, the action and pacing kept me wanting to play more and more, and it's quite the journey from beginning to end. I can't think of the specific wording but traversal systems in game are very flushed out from general movements to climbing and jumping etc, the crafting and skill tree upgrade systems are not complicated but complex.

The last Tomb Raider game was a beautiful game and loved the puzzles. Although similar formula, this one exceeds the previous iteration. I really am enjoying this one so far. The quick time events, puzzles are graphics are top notch. This game is worth the try and at the sales price I purchased it for, made it worth it. This is best game play in the Tomb Raider series yet. The graphics and the Dolby atmos sound really adds something to be enjoyed throughout the whole game. The story is very well thought out. This game doesn’t disappoint.

Upon the first two games, this third and final entry makes for a beautiful exploration of life and variety that Lara Croft does as a tomb raider and nobody can outmatch her style of exploration. The previous game focused too much on combat more than exploration, so this third game focuses on what makes the Tomb Raider the name it holds to heart. Some combat lovers might hate it, but open world exploratory lovers like the fanbase will love it.

Shadow of The Tomb Raider is a great evolution of the Survivor Timeline gameplay. It continues the the story line for the 2013 reboot. Lara Croft is at her most deadliest, as its a race against time to stop Trinity and save the world from destruction. SOTTR is the best in this series, with best gameplay, story and graphics.

I have been playing Tomb Raider for years. This is a great addition to the long running series. The graphics are top notch and the game play is excellent.

Wow this game is amazing! Haven't the third one but when I found out it was on sale, I decided to give it a try and don't regret it one bit! The graphics is amazing, along with the action. Must buy!

The title on the box does not lie, this is the definitive edition of the game. All the DLC, and patches are on the disc! I wish more game products were like this. Highly recommended.

The Lara Croft trilogy comes to its triumphant end with this magnificent game. I appreciate this game having much more exploration/puzzles than the previous one. Level design is fantastic, and the gunplay is also top-notch. Really appreciate the cinematic experience that the developers put into this one. Big fan of this game!

The best Tomb Raider version. The Definitive Edition. I played this in my Xbox x and amazing graphics. I got this on sales on Black Friday. I also have this on PS4. Can’t wait to play this on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

This is a great release because all the content here is on the disc. No patches or updates are needed.

Lara Croft has come a long way as a character. Super fun game with good play time (I don’t like incredibly long or short games). Lots to accomplish. Really fun playing this while reading the book 1491. The visuals brought some subject matter to life!
