I picked this game up for 5 dollars and it was totally worth the price. It brought back some nostalgic gaming and was fun to boot. Premise might be dumb but fun factor is not.

My kids got a Switch for Christmas so I've been picking up a few extra games. Shaq Fu A Legend Reborn was a steal at $5. If you like beat em ups such as Double Dragon and even Streets of Rage, you'll probably enjoy this one. It's very over the top as far as humor and is not afraid of poking fun at itself. If there's one negative it's the bad language. A great pick up otherwise even at $10.

Throwback to 90s tude and humor

Its basically a comedy joke game. Its a lot of 90s style humor but it was actually aiming for that so it can be hit or miss. If you remember commercials and games from the 90s TUDE era you will get a kick out of this. But if you did not grow up with that stuff, it might be a dud similar to how Duke Nukem Forever was a fail even though it was just amped up 90s teenage power fantasy.
Its also not a fighting game, this time its a brawler.

I still have the original. This update/sequel I found to be very enjoyable. The Shaq references to his commercials and past movies are well timed and funny. Icy-Hot giving you health is just funny. The only negative I have found are the controls. They are a little clunky on the Switch version, but still worth a play through, even for a good laugh.

This game is ok. I played the old original Shaq Fu and this is a different game. The original Shaq Fu was a fighting game in the style of Street Fighter. This new redesigned Shaq Fu is a side scrolling beat em up like Double Dragon. The only problem is this game seems thrown together and unpolished. While I played this game I got to sections of the game that got my heart pumping it felt like I was an unstoppable beast. But Shaq’s repeated dialogue was enough to drive me crazy. The switch has so many top notch side scrolling beat em ups that would be better for your money

I never played much of the original but picked this up recently after getting a free digital copy for buying NBA Playgrounds early. Game plays well and has a lot of comedy and dialog. Highly recommended.

bought the game with the intention of it being a Time killer but I ended up playing hours at a time just to beat the game. Definitely better than the first one. A bit repetitive but it's not something that bothered me.

My son loves the game. I bought it because of the price and didn't expect much. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the bad language used throughout the game.

Shaq fu is a fun little beat um up that really doesn't take itself all that seriously. Light on content but heavy on humor, it is a fun game as long as you don't expect much from it.

This game has a great sense of humor and is a fun beat em up type game. I got this game on sale and for all the negatives I read about it, the only things I disliked was that it became repetitive and it was short. Although, by the end I was ready for it to be over.
The graphics are fun and cartoony, the sound and voiceovers are great. All in all I had a fun time with the game for the price I paid.

Awesome beat em up game for the price and its a physical version I highly recommend it I tried to stay away from most of the reviews played it my self and loved it it's a great game not as bad as people say just wish it was a little bit longer SPOILER there is an extra game mode where you play as obama haha it's pretty funny he actually uses melee and guns as shaq only uses melee so it's alot of fun over all really enjoyed it I highly recommend it good game for a cheap price add it to your collection!

Excellent if you can get it $10 or under. Listening to Shaq making jokes is worth the price of admission alone. Just make sure you have the right expectations before you start. Also, the game isn’t for kids unless you’re prepared for them to repeat some of the language used in the game.

I grew up in Shaqs prime and always wanted to play the original Shaq Fu game but never got to until playing it on a ROM. This came out and got it for 5 bucks. Not the best game in the world but it is entertaining. Have a hankering for beat em up style game with solid graphics and some comedy this is your game. Keep your expectations low and this game will be serious bang for your buck.

As I understand, this game was originally on the SNES and was so bad, it was good. So when it went on sale, I had to see what all the nostalgia was about. Surprisingly enough, I was somewhat impressed. Now in no way whatsoever am I a fan of Shaq, but this game gives you a good laugh. Especially the bonus game Barackfu, with the one and only Barack Obama.
