I was able to set it up with the directv remote very quickly. p.s. the sound really sounds great.

You are buying a Roku player - that is also a TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When you first buy this TV, you must set it up by registering it as a Roku player using a PC, tablet or phone. When you turn on the TV it takes a while to boot up. It boots up with a Ruku interface. If you want to watch TV, you have to select the tuner as one of its apps by selecting the tuner tile. You can configure it to have other tiles displayed to represent your cable box and DVR. Even the remote control is a Ruku remote control and not a TV remote control . I would only recommend this device if you're looking for a Ruku media player. The TV seems to be an afterthought .
