Excellent TV for this Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up this Sharp 65" on sale for $200 off plus another 10% off in Best Buy Rewards credits and couldn't be happier with the purchase. The picture quality is stunning, and the Roku interface is seamless and in my opinion one of the best out there at any price point...one thing you need to be aware of is unlike most TV remotes these days this TV essentially has only a glorified Roku remote (which is previous 1 star reviewer's sour grapes, I suspect his issue with the cable remote could be remedied with a higher end programmable remote). While the remote is very simplistic I suspect anyone familiar with the Roku environment will find it more than adaquate. For me with antenna over the air and streaming only the remote is fine...Overall, at this price point I don't think you can beat this deal for a 65" 4k. Also note, the Best Buy specifications are incorrect as this TV does indeed have an Ethernet Port.... Highly recommend this set...

ROKU TV is the best for Streaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Vizio 4K Smart TV (2 years old) that I was using with a new Amazon Fire TV box to stream apps like AMC, DisneyGo, FX, etc. to get shows I can't get on Hulu/Netflix. The FireTV box meant I had to have two remotes (which i absolutely hate), and it would take forever to start streams or when it would stop for a commercial (the AMC/FX apps all make you watch commercials), it would make me wait forever to load the commercial. I knew it wasn't my internet (150mbps), because I could watch the same shows from my computer without issues. The ROKU streams the same content instantly, spins up the commercials instantly, no problems. Having the ROKU as the TV operating system is genius. ONE remote and interface is simple. The picture is great, sound is OK but I did buy a soundbar. The remote is small and cheap plastic but doesnt have too many buttons - I like its simplicity. Also has buttons to go directly to HULU or Netflix. My old TV had built in apps for Netflix and Hulu but not for the new HULU TV live streaming service - this TV supports that and more. Since it is a ROKU device it should stay up to date for the new apps via ROKU updates.

Bad screen quality

We can hear the voice but we cannot see any pictures. I thought sharp was the best TV brand and I need to admit that I am wrong. Thank you sharp.

Worst tv ever

TV crapped out just after warranty

Every smart TV should have Roku built in like this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so far we love this tv. we cut the cord a few months ago, so decided to take a chance on this because it main user interface is the roku. this has two main benefits, first roku has all of the smart apps you would need, it doesnt leave certain ones out of the like some of the sonys samsungs ect. Second when you turn the tv on it goes straight to roku, but one of the apps in roku is "antenna" so you dont have to switch inputs to jump back and forth from apps to local channels for live sports. as far as the tv itself we are happy with the picture, the 4k stuff looks awesome, the sound is average, (we also bought a soundbar to supplement) for $599 im thinking of replacing the other tvs we have in the house as well

Fantastic TV

It was bullet proof! I finally gave it away because I wanted color!! This Sharp is amazing. BEST sound from a TV I've ever heard. In fact I don't have to turn it up, amplify it, or use closed caption! I've been comparing it to my 65" Panasonic Plasma and it's better!! It's apps make it amazingly flexible. Best TV I've ever had.... AND it's reasonably priced, especially when it's on sale. Thinking about buying another.

Perfect tv for streaming, you can hook up cable to it as well, but Roku is so handy due to all the high access streaming there is now a Days. Love how I can change picture/audio settings for each device/streaming I do. My HDMI1 for my PlayStation has a different audio/picture setting than my Netflix. And the price is great too.

Amazing, great price

When I purchased this one I was so happy with the picture, volume, and the price. I am now in my living room more and out of the bedroom. You won't regret this purchase. I highly recommend.

Tighten them well, or TV will lean forward. My husband and I had to try twice to get it right. Once done, very happy on the first night of delivery!

This TV was great for the first two months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say that this TV has some of the best features I've ever seen on a TV as far as Smart capabilities. I've had quite a few TVs from Samsung, Sanyo, Vizio, and even another smaller Sharp TV and this one has the best interface. HOWEVER it is only month 3 since I've had this TV and it now has a bouncing line going across the bottom of the screen. The TV hasn't been moved at all, or suffered any external damage, it has been hanging on my wall since day one. I'm not sure what is causing this but it seems to stop when I turn it off, and then it gradually begins to happen again. I've had other issues with Sharp TVs in the past with similar issues on the LED panel and ended up replacing the panel myself, though I'm not interested in doing this on a 65" TV. So now I will have to spend my time trying to get this giant TV repaired. Very frustrated.

Do NOT Buy this TV

I can't get passed the Roku TV setup, because the "Smart" Roku TV keeps crashing, freezing, and restarting. Truly an epic piece of junk and a waste of money and my time. I will never recommend Sharp products and should've known to spend alittle more to get a Samsung. I will definitely be reaching out to Best Buy and Shapr to get this piece of trash removed from my house and replaced with a quality product. Such a shame I thought I was getting a deal but spending $200-$300 more for a better product would've saved me time and frustration. Live and learn, but I can't recommend this at all. STAY AWAY.

One major flaw, otherwise great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own an older Sharp big screen which I love, so decided to stay with the brand when purchasing a 65" for a second home. Unfortunately none of the Sharp codes to set up the cable company's (Comcast Xfinity) remote control work! To make matters worse, when I called Sharp customer service (on two separate occasions) for assistance, they told me this product was being handled by another 'department', and transferred my call to somewhere in Mexico, where the phone connection and language barrier made further dialogue impossible. Sadly, the set is going back today, and because the customer service was so unsatisfactory, I cannot recommend this product or brand any longer.

After doing further research, I found several codes that will work to program a Comcast Xfinity remote control to this set. These are: 11602, 10093, 12360. In addition to this, most cable remote controls have an auto code search function, which allows the remote to look for a code and assign it.
