pretty typical Japanese RPG with an interesting real time battle system. graphic is really good. you will like it if you like JRPG and Action RPG.

I got the steelbook version, love it, looks great! Fun game as well. Starts a little slow but once you get into the game it’s more fun.

This is by no means any step up to modern JRPGs, but it is still an enjoyable confined experience. The game can be sometimes shallow, but nothing to hinder a fun little experience. Some people might get turn away by the lack of CGI scenes, cause this game has a visual novel type of dialogue. Graphics is also nothing to write home about, its a port from the last gen era but the graphics did age pretty well. All in all a fun experience and worth the money, if your not willing to commit on this you can wait for it to go on sale and test the waters.

The game shinning resonance is a really fun rpg. The game has a good story, gameplay, graphics and runs smooth.

If you enjoy JRPGs based around musical theme battle systems and Dragons then this game is for you.

If you are a fan of active combat and JRPG’s, this game is for you! Battles are fun and fast paced unless they are a boss. Sometimes the switch version gets stuck graphically, but it does not take away from the excitement of the game. The presentation can be a little cheesy too, but it’s all part of the charm! Overall, it’s a good game!

Very good game. So far I've spent 2 1/2 hrs playing Shining Resonance. Let me tell you, I'm enjoying every last bit of this game. I haven't enjoyed a JRPG game like this since Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I'm loving the anime graphics!! The gameplay is decent but not boring. 8/10

Great gameplay, excellent graphics, and a great story.

While it's definitely not for everyone, if what you see advertised interests you at all (anime JRPG) you'll likely love it. In particular I love how the combat keeps you in the world and engage in action oriented combat, closest thing I can think of to it is Star Ocean V, though that may not be a fair comparison.

I only played shining force 1 and 2, but this is a nice twist on the old games with the action combat. It's definitely fun, but if you you're dead set on the old strategy type battle, this won't be for you.

A definitive remake of the ps3 game, for those who are new to the game I would recommend ignoring the suggestion to play the game in original mode as there is no new game plus. Instead play refrain mode and if spoilers are a concern avoid doing events with the extra characters.

Its a fun game and its got your fan service(Bonus) However, I cant help but feel the developers skimped on optimizing it for tv since its a switch game. You do get a interesting story about dragons and a fun combat mechanic. Bosses are ridiculously brutal(I spent two hours and still haven't beaten the first main boss). The game definitely feels laggy especially in bigger fights, the fps completely tanks, in portable mode, not so much. its a shame because I enjoy playing on my tv more than handheld. still a great game though------ 3.5 stars for me.

Really reminds me of Phantasy Star with the menu sounds, character quirks, and cut scenes polish. Takes some getting used to playing in the beginning, but the story picks up soon enough. Farming items can be fun in this one. If you enjoy RPGs then this might be up your alley.
