Set this mic up and was instantly impressed! I knew it was great based on reviews but actually using it firsthand was still surprisng. It does cost more than other microphones but its definitely worth the it.

Great overall mic. If you are using this in an interface remember to buy a preamp because the gain on this mic alone is not very high. If you don't want noise when recording buy a preamp.

It's the Shure SM7B, what can I say. Make sure you have enough power though because its a hungry mic. I have it plugged into the Rode Rodecaster Pro II.

Believe the hype! The Shure SM7b is a phenomenal sounding mic. You just need to make sure you have the right equipment to power it properly.

One of the best dynamic mics for vocals! If you can't get a good sound out of the SM7B, it is either your voice is not as you think or your preamp is not good enough.
