Sicario Day of the Soldado is a great film and even greater on 4k. This is a very nice steelbook for a low price too. Came in perfect condition and just one day late for shipping.

Fantastic performances across the board. An intense, gritty, hard-edge action thriller that surpasses the genre, while staying faithful to tone of Denis Villeneuve's brilliant beginning to the journey of this Sicario.

I love this movie and the people who star in it are very entertaining.

It could have been better with the type of theme from the first

I was surprised Beat Buy had a copy of this movie. I can’t wait to watch it with my uncle which is a big fan of the movie. Awesome story telling and action pack.

I was at the edge of my seat in the theaters and now I own the first and 2nd hopefully the third will be as good as these 2

There is a Lot of great action and camera shots. Great addition to my collection.

I normally don’t buy movies, this was worth it for the price.

This movie took a different angle and focused more so on a "dark justice" scenario that was for the public instead of the linear plot of the first one which was simply revenge. While I felt the movie could have explored more it definitely does provide many different settings and sequences which make up for any concerns of lack of content/throughput. This is more of a film for filmmakers perhaps than the average person but taking cues to have still made it relatable. If you have seen Mexican cinema such as Amores Perros or Y Tu Mama Tambien then you are familiar with the rhythm of dialogue and how they develop through a more ominous manner where each sequence compounds the story. Not so much an novella but definitely influenced by it. But is it better than the first one? Yes and No. It is only better because it develops from the first one but without the first movie the story telling just doesn't work. You would literally feel like you're watching one of those god awful 80s action movies where they just throw in some random guy all muscly and skimpy clothing with only one liners for dialogue 1/3rd of the way in and we're all just supposed to be immediately impressed. In truth, this is more like a modern day Rambo but instead of a chastised war vet you have a veteran of the modern day yet unspoken drug wars which transpire in Mexico who enacts his justice through Big Brother's Shadow Enterprises. Try not to see this without seeing the first one.

I liked it, good watch. It had everything the the first one had, except a faster pace and more action. In action, I mean violence, bacause that is what the action was like, just quick scenes of intense violence. But it came at a cost, in the first once the “action” was built up for so long that the intense explosiveness of it was unique and I, like many others, was left wanting more. Enter Day of the Soldado, where they delivered at the expense of the long tense building, so the impact was just not the same. Still good, still suspenseful and and intense. Like with anything you can’t do everything, I thought I wanted more shoot out scenes, but what really made everything so intense in the first one was the slow pacing and build up. Still worth the watch! It delivered what I thought I wanted however, it changed how I felt about the 1st one. It taught me a lesson, for that: 5 stars!

Sicario Day of the Soldado is the second of a series so far of two movies. It goes into the stories of the main concern of many people today, the security of the southern border. The story is well told and could very well have happened. Great story, incredible acting and overall I give it two thumbs up!

Sicario is a very well done movie as was the first one. This about a hit man who lost his family to the drug cartels and he is out to settle the score. This is not like the normal punisher style movie, as the killing of his family was to send a message, but he will always be a message only the message is different now. Start off with the first Sicario and then follow it up with this one Day of the Soldado. Both movies are very enjoyable. I really want to see the third one when it is done and on 4K Ultra HD disk as that one should be very entertain, but the series must keep the sicario one step in front of everyone or the series will falter.

Sicario: Day of the soldado. This movie won't satisfy you if you've watched the first one. The beauty of #Sicario was the unknowing. We were Emily Blunt trying to cop up with our morality and what's need to be done with being sidelined. Day of the Soldado takes away that secret ingredient from the recipie. Shows the demons & weaknesses that the main characters deal with. In a way, that's good for the character development. But this is not another high spy, action thriller! It's Sicario we are talkin' about.

Sicario day of the soldado, is an interesting and intense squeal to the first film. It has a great looking steelbook. The film and audio are great on this 4k and I cant wait to see what the 3rd film in the series will bring.

Wow the saga continues on the war against the Drug Cartel. Now it's personal for some of the characters, there seems to be a separation of alliance which will definitely spawn a 3rd movie already in the making ... excellent for fans to follow. The chemistry between Benicio Del Toro & James Brolin only magnifies itself. The introduction of a couple of new & young talented actors will only strengthen what's more to come!

Day of the Soldado is a really good sequel; not quite as good as the original, though. Sicario (original) had enough humor to balance out the gritty; Day of the Soldado is plainly grittier (little to no humor). I understand and appreciate that but, it is a difference. I do like the score better in Day of the Soldado; "The Beast" is a haunting score; too bad it's only at the end. Overall, I give it 4 stars; well worth buying.

I know many will have issue with the films different pacing and style. It feels more like a spin off than a sequel, but I actually really liked that about the film. I get to have more of that world and some of it's characters without feeling like I'm doing the same thing over and over again. The performances were fantastic and the action gripping. Go into it with and open mind. The 4k looks really good, especially during the night scenes.

I had the first Sicario movie with Emily Blount which I purchased in 4K when released. Due to the reviews on this movie, held off on watching. Rented a dvd copy now and viewed. I liked Brolin and Del Toro in the first movie and equally as good in the 2nd. I purchased in 4K to complement the series for my collection. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Sicario 2 follows from the first installment. There are some areas that you may not be able to understand fully unless you see the first release. This movie best depicts what challenges are faced as a result of a porous southern border. The realism is on-point and the acting is above normal. If your aim is to be on the edge of your seat then this movie is for you.
