This is cool. I don't need original remote control anymore.

The product is easy to use and high quality. Note that it is NOT needed if you just want to operate your TV, you only need if if you have additional things you want to control (DVD player, Sound Bar, etc) or if there are other features on your TV remote that you would like to combine (set sleep timer, etc).

Very convenient added functionality. I programmed the additional buttons to turn my receiver on, plus volume, mute, and some TV functions too. The build quality is very light however.

Solid addon to the stock Chromecast remote. Most functionality I needed does work with the Chromecast remote itself, however I wanted to add a few options for my sound bar to eliminate extra controllers on the night stand. Can program any IR remote to any of the buttons. Was able to program my floor fan remote to it as well. IR blaster on remote is pretty powerful as well. It pretty much works aiming the remote wherever, even at opposite wall.

This made such a difference to the original remote! First, it no longer slips constantly out of my hand. And second, all the buttons are programmable, despite their icons. I didn't need another power button, so I assigned that to my menu. Already have volume adjustors on the side, so + and - became my channel changers, etc. This now has replaced my native smart TV remote completely.

You're limited to TVs that use only IR. Some TVs like mine use Bluetooth for all the functions besides power and volume, which the chromecast remote works fine with. So try and look up compatability first. I mainly wanted this to control the TV source but it didn't work on my TV

It is easy to use and to program. It will turn on and off the tv but won't charge the volume. But other than that it cuts down on the remotes

Couldnt get power button to ptogram as power button. Iike that it has a comfortable feel in my hand. Probably would not buy again.

Adds a lot of features to the remote. Also make it very easy to orient the device - simplifying the use of the remote's buttons.

A MUST HAVE if you've got a receiver. No longer do I need to grab a second remote, I program my main 3 inputs into this, volume, power, and the mute is on the Google stick. Makes things super easy.

I use this with my Chromecast everyday. I highly recommend it to anyone that owns a Chromecast as it makes the device much more functional and allows me to control my TV and soundbar from the one remote. Does take some work to set up originally. Highly recommend.

Works well and was easy to program. Now I only have one remote instead of three.

Can't program all of the buttons; but it is useful

I bought this because I was replacing an entire Logitech Harmony setup with just the Google TV remote and this Sideclick. I would setup the Power and Input button on the main remote to control my TV and the volume buttons to control the sound system. Then I was going to setup the Sideclick to power on/off my sound system and do some other stuff. Turns out that my sound system turns on at the press of the volume buttons and automatically shuts off after some time of inactivity. So uh.... It's still useful at making my remote a big larger and easier to find/hold. I did end up pairing the sound system to it and it was a very simple setup. I'll probably end up coming up for a use for it eventually. I don't regret getting it as it does have its uses the more devices you want to control.

I thought it was going to be an uprade, but it was a waste of money. It’s a cool design for duplicated features. It would be more beneficial to get another remote control than this “supplement.”

The IR range was decent, however, I thought it was pretty useless considering most of the buttons are redundant and the buttons weren't as responsive as the Chromecast remote buttons.

Great remote control for my Google Chromecast little slippery but you can buy a rubber covering and it works great

Perfect for controlling my older A/V receiver and eliminating the clutter of the extra remote. Easy to set up.
