I am a big fan of Sigma lenses, particularly the Art series. This new 70-mm Macro lens is terrific—razor sharp, easy to use and relatively lightweight. A definite for those looking for excellent performance at a very reasonable price.

I wasn’t really sure that I would like macro photography. I bought the Sigma, primarily because it is about half the price of the Sony macro lens. Who knew that I would love macro photography; it opens up a whole new world for creativity. This lens has given me some really great results. Just know that a macro lens is not a very good all-purpose lens, although you can get away with some multi-purpose use. I definitely recommend this lens.

Very good lens and macro for the price. Slower autofocus than Sony lenses, but to be expected.
