Sexy funny and entertaining this is one of my favorite movies so I had to upgrade to the Blu-ray copy but it also comes with a DVD which is nice Jennifer Lawrence is my celebrity crush this is one of the best performances of her young career she is sexy naughty flirty fun blunt and broken in this role and gets the most out of the complex character Bradley Cooper is equally impressive in his performance Silver linings playbook has a star-studded cast alongside them as well including the great Robert De Niro The fast talking hilarious Chris tucker and classily all American girl Julia Stiles all of these actors and actresses brilliantly lend layers and depth to the film not a single character feels wasted even if their role is small this is one of those movies you can watch over and over and it is a must have for any movie collection I only wish they would release it in the 4K format If you want to see a well written highly entertaining movie that is sure to stand out from others then do yourself a favor and watch The Award-winning film silver linings playbook

Shedding light on mental health issues in a romantic dramedy - JLaw wins Oscar for Best Actress and Bradley Cooper shines

Great price for a must buy & add to collection of great movies. Definitely recommend purchasing this DVD.

I love the way that this movie gives us a glimpse into the minds of those with mental illnesses.

Silver Linings Playbook is an exceptionally crafted film, and one of the better releases in 2012. All the characters are represented with their various quirks and flaws, giving them the depth needed to make this tale about two genuinely damaged people so engaging. If you haven't seen it yet, I would highly recommend it. In the romantic comedy vein, it will appeal to anyone who likes their movies generally uplifting. On the technical side of things, the Blu-ray reproduction is brilliant. No grain is to be found in this film, with spectacular detail on close-ups and even background objects. There is a bit of a dark crush in some of the darker scenes, but it isn't overpowering. On the audio side, this is a dialogue heavy film as many films in the genre tend to be. With that said, there isn't much surround action going on here. The surround effects only really kick in with the music, but the dialogue is clear and crisp and the mix is solid for this type of movie. In summary, if you like romantic comedies, or just stories about people overcoming their own failings to find happiness with one another, I think you'll enjoy this film.

I loved this movie. The story and the characters are "different" and the acting is great. I think It is important for all of us to get more familiar and comfortable around people who are "different" from us. The 2 main characters in this movie, I believe, have bi-polar disorders; and "bi-polar" is a type of "mental illness." Maybe "mental illness" just means "different," at least sometimes. I loved these two characters and I loved the way they were. They didn't seem "ill" to me, they just seemed "different" and interesting--more "colorful" than most people. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper were both great in portraying these "quirky" and--to me, lovable--individuals. I am so happy that I have this Blu Ray in my collection. That way I can enjoy it repeatedly. I found it at a great price on the Best Buy website.

Movie was very entertaining, love anything that Jennifer Lawrence is in.

Might be the best movie for both Cooper and Lawrence.

If you like seeing on film characters that seem real life, enjoy romantic themes and a fresh somewhat comical look at two unlikely mates - this is the film for you. While the character Jennifer Lawrence plays is not going to be everyone's cup of tea, she does an outstandingly true portral of this undesirable. The hidden jewel in the movie and unsung hero is actually Bradley Cooper who battles his way back to mental health. I watched this movie when tired and found myslef dozing off in a couple of long passages - but rewatched it when freshly rested and enjoyed every bit of it. I don't recommend this film for folks that are into horror, mind numbing non-stop action or tons of gore - you won't find that here.

I bought this movie for my wife thinking she would like it. I work out of state and was taking the train back home when I decided to watch it. I was thinking "this is some kind of chick flick". This is likely one of the best movies I have even seen. It's full of comedic remarks, serious discussions, and imitates real life. It is even more hilarious if you know someone that struggles with bi-polar disorders, since you have a better understanding of the characters struggles. As an added plus, Jennifer Lawrence, since she is such a great actress

What a great movie! I am not a chick flick watching kind of guy...and I am not sure you can classify this as that. It is a deeply touching movie, about several tortured souls, that collide to make up a family and friends that are dealing with so many psychological problems. Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Rbert De Niro shine in their stellar performances. It warms the heart to see how it all comes together, and each one finally recieves a bit of peace in their lives.

Love the real side to this movie, it is a story that many will be able to relate to from one characterization to another. Life's moments are filled with crazy family scenes, friends who can turn the sanest person into one of the three stooges, and a there's the desire to be loved and understood. Love transcends all three aspects of this story, however unorthodox their attempts to touch the hearts of each other, will touch the hearts of viewers!

Funny and realistic examination of troubled relationships. Frighteningly accurate display of emotional turmoil and psychological illness. I found this film easy to relate to on a personal level, so perhaps I'm bias towards the content. Regardless, the acting is top notch (Bradley Cooper is fantastic. He really surprised me. And Jennifer Lawrence delivers a solid performance as well (although it was a bit too hyped up in my opinion). Strongly recommended.

This is a great movie! My husband and I watched this in the movie theater before buying the DVD. This movie really hit home for us, but my husband has bipolar and so does the main character. We were able to relate to what the main character was going through, so it had some special meaning for us. Overall though it's a great movie with some good comedy and good messages about supporting loved ones who have mental health related problems.

This is a great movie- we saw it as a couple in theaters and it had a little bit of everything- romance, comedy, sports, family, etc. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are great, but the supporting actors are also awesome. I bought it on DVD because a friend of ours wore our Eagles jersey as an extra, so we wanted to have a copy of it. This is a great movie- I highly recommend!

I liked this movie I live in Pa and it was filmed in Pa. I looked up some of the info on it on the web. If your an eagle fan I think you would love it too.... since the father is a die heart eagle fan!!!!! It has comedy and gives you a bit of a insight on what bi polar folks are like... and it looks like a whole lot of folks eating crabby snacks and homemades now!!!!!

Great date night film. Definatly the best Bradley cooper and Jennifer Lawrence team up yet. The couple lights up the stage once again ,showing off their talents and chemistry,which one them award,yet to date. Bradley a this best with a twist of sad, drama and happy scenes. While Jennifer Lawrence seals the deal with Love. Watched it four times already with wife.

for 1 I love Jennifer Lawrence she is a great actress I love how the movie brings 2 people together and how they both relate to each other and the craziness between relationships. the dance scores were awesome along with the bet with the father and the good luck charms.. everything was well thought out left you in a good mood at the end of the movie and I loved it

Silver Lining Playbook is a perfect movie. It’s such a great drama comedy and one of the best ones ever. Jennifer Lawrence deserved that Oscar. Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, and Jackie Weaver did amazing too. If you haven’t seen it or any other David O. Russell movie, you need to watch it and his other movies.
