I would stay away from this brand.

Feels cheep and you get pretty much novelty baby screws with it. To top it off as with all of their other products you have to screw through the sticky tape which gums up the already crummy screw. I switched systems entirely. I suggest looking elsewhere.

Posted .So sorry to hear about your experience, Steve. If you're using the screws, we really recommend removing the adhesive first. You can do that by gently pulling on the tab until it comes away.

SimpliSafe - Motion Sensor - White

Posted .Hi. Sounds like we should troubleshoot further to make sure that the viewing angle is pointed properly where you want it. Give us a call again at 800-548-9508 and we can help. Also don't forget, when testing, you do want to walk out of the room completely for a couple of minutes. That gives the sensor time to "scan" the room before being fully active!

Posted .Sorry to hear about your experience. If you haven't already, we recommend setting up Multi-Factor Authentication in the SimpliSafe app (look for "Manage Account" in the Menu).
Not only is it more secure, but it also allows your login to be maintained for much longer. You should only need to sign in again once a moth.
As for cost - we do already offer Basic App Control, which includes push notifications, at no cost. Give our Support team a call at 800-548-9508 and we can tell you all about it.

Posted .Ah, sorry to hear that. Do you have a SimpliSafe Original system? This particular sensor is unfortunately only compatible with the current generation SimpliSafe.
