Never showed up, or called. I waited about 2 weeks for a site survey and when I didn’t get a phone call I went to Lowe’s and had my washer and dryer installed and delivered the next day. Probably wouldn’t use geek squad for my appliances again.

Stand was not put together correctly. My tv screen is damaged. I am very frustrated and unhappy. Now I have to wait till 6/7/22 for a replacement. Geek Squad was not who did this. Was a third party.

Hired Geek Squad to mount a TV and run speakers wires through the wall.
They drilled into a water pipe, perforating a metal plank to protect the pipe.
Had water damage in carpet, baseboard and wall.

The tech "Eddie" and his sidekick "Chris" were both highly knowledgeable and provided all the questions to my questions . I placed the order for the equipment they recommended and a few weeks alter both of them came back and did the installation . They did what I consider to be an "awesome job" - I am very pleased with the work they did and Best Buy company - Thank You !

We’re very kind and also wanted to make the product work as efficiently as possible both agents were very knowledgeable, and worked hard to bring the sound bar to the peak level that it could be. I am very satisfied with the product for the price plus the installation.

I tried unsuccessfully to connect our new TV to surround sound. We had multiple problems I was unable to solve. The agents set up TV and surround sound system while being engaging, helpful, effective, and efficient. They eagerly answered our many questions. Unlike lots of tech people, they were friendly and not at all intimidating.

If this review is for Cade and his assistant, they did an excellent job, were very helpful, called before they showed up and stayed until they got all the components connected that they were able to find. He was very knowledgeable, He traced and identified all the speaker connections, informed us of components we might want to get and stated we could call him when we got them.
WE have a Sony 7.2 ch/canaux and he was able to connect all items.
In the space below it asks if I would recommend Geek Squad, I would definitely recommend Cade. I would not recommend the first Tech that showed up to install and hook up the TV. That was all he did, said he did not have time to do the other hookups even though that was what was originally requested.

We needed new protector installed in our media room. Tory and Jason conducted a meticulous site visit inspected area existing speakers, receiver, wiring and mount. They determined we needed new receiver to support the 4k laser projector. They suggested purchasing new HDMI just incase it was needed. We had already purchased the projector so Tory spent extra time assessing throw distance vs existing mount. He determined exact mount needed and a new hole would be needed (the existing spot couldn’t be used) because of the shorter throw distance on new projector to ceiling outlet.
When they came to install they were very neat, setup blankets and kept their work areas clean entire time. Tory’s attention to detail, he determined we could keep the existing HDMI and reran the HDMI to new hole to projector. It was incredible he was able to mount the projector close enough to outlet that you don’t notice the cable to outlet at all. He also put ceiling cover over the prior spot. Everything looks amazing. Jason installed receiver and checked all sound and determined we needed fuse for subwoofer. They made sure projector and system were working perfectly, vacuumed and cleaned up area before leaving. I would highly recommend them what a great team. Their attention to detail is amazing doing everything to make sure we were happy especially that spot for the mount.
Side Note: Tory mounted our 55 inch TV in bedroom in spring and did a fantastic job as well he simply had an eye for detail and wanted everything perfect. When he arrived to install projector we knew we were in good hands.

The Home Theater Team that did ny install hands down the greatest I have ever experienced. Friendly and professional. If i had a question they were more than happy to answer it. Prior to making any cuts they checked with me first and gave their honest opinions. Their expettise was amazing. When they were done the area was spotless and I was taught how to use it before they left. Shortly afterwards I had a problem and the team was back to correct it. They are AMAZING!!!!!!!

Service was scheduled for 21 December 2025. Received a call that morning that they would be at our place between 2 and 4 pm. No show for that time frame. Finally, received a call at about 4:20 pm, telling us they were late (really?) and saying they would be here in about 10 minutes. Greg and Jose finally showed up, and when Jose saw our cat, he said he was allergic to cats and did not come in.
Started explaining to Greg what we were looking to do. Discussed that we were looking to replace our stereo receiver, and I wanted to try to stay with Sony, so it would work with our DVD player and our Sony Bravia big screen TV. Discussed that we have Android phones (Samsung) and are already set up for Google Play/Google Home.
When I started talking about our setup, he kept interrupting me and saying "I know", even though he incorrectly identified out TV as a Samsung. He then started pitting my wife against me..."your wife wants a new IPOD, etc" "Well he says he wants 7 channels."
At one point, I felt like I was not even there...
He also received a call during our visit, and proceeded to have a protracted discussion about some other job while we waited...very rude...
During this whole discussion, he had a runny nose and kept inhaling snot, saying he must have gotten a cold...I am a 66 year-old man who had recently gotten my flu shot, and my wife is a breast cancer survivor also in her 60s...gross!
I asked for a recommendation on a receiver recommendation, and he showed me an $1800.00 Marantz unit that he said "was just recently on sale, I think".
He was obviously pushing Apple products, even though all of our stuff is from Best Buy...
Recommended that we check out the systems at the Independence Blvd "Magnavox" Best Buy store, but I wanted him to see what we had in our home, hence the request for a "Home Site Survey".
At one point, he told us that "Best Buy Total" was now called "Best Buy Total Tech" (really?)
Seemed like he was in a hurry the entire time and stayed here maybe 30 minutes before leaving.
Overall, a very poor representation of Geek Squad services and of Best Buy overall.

The reason for my site evaluation was that I needed guidance on replacing the full motion tv mount that I had originally purchased from Best Buy and wasn’t pleased with. The tech called me before the visit and answered all my questions and saved him and I a trip out. I can’t replace unless I want to risk drilling new holes in my new fireplace. So I’m stuck with the Best Buy brand that doesn’t work well and is impossible for one person to move and will not stay in place. Not his fault in the least. He was open and honest.

First off, I must recognize JENNIFER who expedited an unfortunate error by in-store tech in processing my soundbar that got fired during a recent thunderstorm. She approved an immediate replacement and hooked me up with BRIAN who was the most knowledgeable sr sales consultant for my new soundbar/subwoofer. Finally, the two Geek squad gentlemen delivered then installed both pieces just yesterday to complete my home theater system to my delight for our enjoyment. THANK YOU!!

I have been so completely happy with my BestBuy in-home installation experience. We are renovating a house, and I wanted ethernet lines and WAPs installed throughout the house with the lines running in the walls. I got 4 quotes for the work. Best Buy was completely reasonable, and their rep, James, was very knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful. He didn't try to oversell me on stuff I didn't need like some of the other quotes we got. He not only helped us identify the right equipment for our IT job, he also helped us with other items we needed outside of the IT stuff. He made himself available for questions and follow-up, and I was able to talk with him several times to discuss our options to make sure what we were getting would best meet our needs. After the initial walk-thru and quote, James and the installer came to prep for the work that was to be done and to make sure we were all on the same page. Then the installer came back and ran all the lines. He did a great job, was very knowledgeable, helped identify the best places for WAPs, ran everything we needed, and was so nice. We are still in the middle of the renovation, so they haven't come back yet to do the finish work. But I have no concerns that the job won't finish as great as it started. James has been good about working around our construction timelines so Best Buy will be able to finish the lines when we're ready for them. Thanks to James (rep), Jon (installer), and Best Buy. I'd absolutely recommend them to others and would use them again.
