Great movie. Cheap casing, not a solid blu-ray case.
I generally had a bad holiday consumer experience and returned almost everything I bought.
I am thankful for the extended return period. That was the best part of the consumer experience.
But if I feel bad and am anxious and worried about getting a refund because Best Buy has a bad return process, then I am unlikely to consume from that retailer again.
A disappointing experience for the last several years.

There hasn’t been such a poor Bond flick since Grace Jones ruined that movie. We lost key characters through roughly written action. (There’s nothing like fleeing villains at night with your flashlight waving through the air.)

I was a little disappointed once I got home and noticed that there was a dent on the upper cover of the steelbook. I had not noticed earlier because it was covered up by all the packaging. really bummed out on this one.

This purchase was a headset with microphone. The salesperson was horrible and acted as if he was above my asking questions. My wife and I walked to the other end of the store to get away from him and then went back and chose he head set I didn't want anyway. I have tried to use it once and put it away. Really bad experience and now i'm stuck with the headset. The person who checked us out was great and acted like he cared,

The plot of the movie was not really a great way to go. No one wants to see James Bond as old and slow. That's why new actors play him every few years. It missed the mark from previous James Bond movies.

As with all of the Daniel Craig "James Bond" movies, this particular movie, in my opinion, takes itself way too seriously, and, as a result, has lost the element of humor (yes, humor) that I've come to expect from the Bond films. Also, the movie is far too violent, when to compared to the previous Bond movies. In essence, I look at the Bond movies and "spy fantasy," not "spy thriller." If I want a "spy thriller," I might as well watch a Bourne movie, not a Bond movie.

It didn't seem to keep up with the other 007 movies, at times was rather boring. Glad I didn't go see it in the theater.

Very good movie, cool looking steelbook artwork. Best buy needs to ship these metal steelbooks in boxes as mine came in with dents and completely twisted case.

Probably the most lifeless bond of all the bonds. I liked all but the last two actors. Of course Connery set the bar for the rest. The Dalton movies had good action. I probably will sell this Skyfall.

Best Bond of my lifetime

A hard drive containing the names of undercover agents embedded in terrorist organizations is now up for sale and you suffered a near fatal injury trying to stop it. What would it take to send you back into the fray? Money, love, fear?
James Bond (played by Daniel Craig for the third time) and fellow MI6 agent Eve (played by Naomie Harris) have tracked a thief carrying a stolen hard drive with confidential information to a train. After an exhausting chase and an epic amount of destruction, Bond and the thief are locked in a physical struggle. With the thief in her sights, Eve (Harris), on orders from M (played by Judi Dench for the seventh time) takes the shot, misses, and sends 007 plummeting to the water below while the hard drive and the thief are lost. M (Dench) is summoned before a government committee where one member, Gareth Mallory (played by Ralph Fiennes), encourages her to retire. While en route to MI6 headquarters, their servers are breached and, while M watches helplessly in traffic, their offices are destroyed killing several agents. Bond, having taken his fall from the tracks as an opportunity to retire, learns of the attack while watching television in a bar. His return to government service is typically atypical. He breaks into M’s home, reports for duty, and asks how he can be of service. Before returning to duty, Bond must submit to both a physical and a psychological exam. Despite failing both, a desperate M puts Bond back in the field, for lack of a better idea.
This being a Bond movie, there is, of course, a great deal more to the story. The moment we are introduced to the true villain, Raoul Silva (played by Javier Bardem) marks the Bond series’ return to cinematic greatness. Bardem is truly terrifying and every time you think you’ve figured out his master plan, he shocks you. The introduction of Ben Whishaw as 007’s liaison to Q branch breathes new life into an element of the franchise that I assumed had simply been abandoned with the departure of Pierce Brosnan and the death of the much-beloved Desmond Llewelyn. I understand that many Bond fans saw Quantum of Solace as a failure. Putting aside the fact that I was not one of them, this is easily the best Bond film since Craig assumed the role of lead actor, in my opinion.

Bond is here to stay

As a long-time Bond fan, coming from a family of Bond fans, every new James Bond film is an event, and Skyfall was no exception. Celebrating the Bond franchise's 50th anniversary, this 23rd Bond film managed to celebrate the franchise and bringing back some retro elements whilst giving us something that felt fresh and new, a true Bond for the 21st century.
Despite being a film fan, I have never seen a Sam Mendes film prior to Skyfall, so his announcement as director neither excited nor discouraged me, though knowing him as mostly a dramatic film director, I wasn't sure if he could pull off an exciting action-adventure. However, I was proven wrong. One of the things that Sam Mendes was set on doing was making a Bond film where the action set pieces came naturally, and were not just simply a case of "Okay, we'll put a car chase here, and a shoot out here, and work around that". The action sequences (particularly the incredible, heart-pounding pre-credits sequence) feel very organic and part of the story instead of shoe-horned in.
But at the same time, Mendes gives us a very thoughtful, and at times, emotional Bond experience. Bond develops wonderful relationships with the rest of the characters (and Craig enjoys wonderful chemistry with the rest of his cast), and by the time you get to the end, you'll feel like you went on a journey with him.
Special mention must go to Roger Deakins, whose cinematography is absolutely stunning, and it was a crime that he did not win the Oscar. This is truly one of the best looking Bond movies ever, with striking, beautiful visuals that manages to take that exotic, international Bond style and take it one step further. Check out the fight between Bond and henchman Patrice, which takes place in front of a giant neon screen, so they are shown entirely in silhouette.
Now as for the Blu-ray itself, it'd be difficult for you to find a better one. The video is absolutely incredible and could possibly be one of the best Blu-rays I have ever seen, and the audio is outstanding - if you have any kind of sound system, pump it up for this one. Your house will be shaking, and you'll be hearing it from every room, and you'll love it.

Best Bond Film Ever, Excellent Blu-Ray

Skyfall was one of the best films of 2012. And it is my favorite Bond film of all time, and yes, I have seen them all. It's just a perfect story, perfect pacing, perfect action, perfect acting, perfect villain, just perfect all around. Daniel Craig is the Best James Bond since Connery and if they do more Bond films like this he might even surpass him. I don't want to ruin any of the plot details but if you don't know much about this Bond adventure, the more fun you will have. It is just simply awe-inspiring.
Especially the cinematography by Roger Deakins. When you visit Shangai, you are in for a visual treat.
The Blu-Ray is about perfect, perfect picture and sound quality, sounded and looked excellent with my set up at home. DVD extras are great as well, everything you would like to know as a Bond enthusiast. Only thing missing are deleted scenes, which aren't that big a deal in the first place.
If you are a Bond fan or even an action film junkie such as myself, and don't want to be an action junkie that has to turn his brain off before watching the film, this is one of the perfect Blu-Rays you could ever treat yourself to.

Been a while since I saw the last Bond film but this one carries on like the others for the most part. Noticed a few small differences (most likely from different directors) that I didn't mind too much.
Bond movies have always been heavy on the action and stunts, but this one has even more than the normal. If you're watching for the women of Bond, then you might be disappointed. First woman is shown for all of 20 seconds. Don't get to see anything with Moneypenny. And I'll let you see how the 3rd plays out. The minimal amount of bedroom antics is replaced with loads of action. Subtle hints at the beginning play out more in the last 20 minutes.
Being such a high budget movie, the filming is amazing. Great detail in everything that goes on. Watched a few of the extras, but not something I buy the movie for.
Golden Eye is still my favorite Bond movie, but this one was definitely amazing. Everyone should watch it at least once.

Top Two Bond

I have been a fan of the Bond movies since seeing The Spy Who Loved Me in the theater when I was 12. I have watched all of the Bond movies at least 5 times each.
I wasn't super impressed with the direction they took the movies when Daniel Craig took over the character. To me it just felt like they were taking the character too seriously. But I remained a fan nonetheless.
I saw Skyfall in the theater and was thoroughly impressed. Although still very serious, this installment once again made me feel like Bond was forced to use his brain more and rely less on Q Branch.
The extras on the Blu-ray are nice and I always enjoy watching the behind the scenes stuff.
