The Nintendo Exclusive Donkey Kong Skylander/Amiibo was a big part of this purchase. This was my first dip into Skylanders and I'm much happier than what I expected. The colorful platforming set pieces are really impressive. The game's story and mood is a bit corny, but so gosh darn earnest that I can't help but love it. I suggest, at a minimum, picking up a sea and sky vehicle to flesh out the levels. They can feel empty otherwise.

The story and characters in this new edition are great! The racing tracks are impressive and vehicles are awesome! Family Fun for sure.

this game is a lot of fun and my kid love it, and yes all skylander figures are compatible.

Skylanders Superchargers for the Wii U is very fun and also very unique due to the dual Amiibo/Skylander Donkey Kong that comes with it. The game itself is very humorous and features great voice acting. ALL Skylanders work with this set, and you'll need them to complete the game on the hardest difficulty. Overall, a great value!

This feels like a step back for Skylanders. I don't really enjoy the driving aspect. Also, the portal will not work for Trap Team and doesn't even light up. Seems like a cost-cutting move. I do like that Donkey Kong also works as an amiibo.

I gave this To my 8 year old boy for his Birthday and he loves it. Bit pricey but comes with 3 characters so that's $45 worth it there and the hen you get the game. Annoyed that each starter pack for different consoles come with different characters as hard to find Donkey Kong as an individual piece

This is the best yet in the Skylanders Series..I'm glad I splurged & bought this game, I couldn't be more pleased with the gaming experience it has tons & tons of game content, online playability with other online gaming friends, you can use your existing Skylanders in this game but they do not have any abilities to upgrade vehicles & you can't use the supercharges on other skylander Portals. The only downfall is that if you want to complete the challenges after you finish the game you will have to spend more money to buy the vehicle element & character which this game calls for at least one light & one dark element. I can't help myself & have bought 4 other vehicles and their character to match for a SuperCharged combo!!!! Lol This gaming experience has been worth every penny, I think!

This seems the standard Skylanders fare where you HAVE to buy certain things to play all aspects of the game, in this case an air and a sea vehicle or whole sections are basically dead to you. It IS probably the ugliest of any of the portals.

They have only played for a couple of days but they seem to like it more than the last two incarnations of Skylanders. Hopefully it will hold their attention for more than a month.

Bought this game for my children and they love it. Skylanders keep coming out with more interesting levels to keep kids hooked. Love the fact that wii u version comes with DK.

Bought this for my daughter. She is a big fan of the Skyland erics series. She loves this. The vehicles don't have bases so you can play with them like regular hot wheels.

We own the Swap Force series, but skipped the Trap Team. We were waiting for the SuperChargers to come out. Having the vehicles included adds to the excitement.

For a series that keeps changing, you never know what to expect, but with even so, with Skylanders, you'll find the familiar elements, the familiar characters and the familiar gameplay. That can be a good thing for people who enjoy this sort of play. My children do. I do not. I will say, that this edition has a much shorter story mode, which in my opinion is an improvement. The environments as always are rich in color, texture and replete with diverse traps and puzzles. If you're not fond of Skylanders though, you'll find that nothing has changed significantly here.

An interesting game to play and watch others play. The biggest killer of this game is having to use the little dolls and vehicles to play the game. And with the dolls and vehicles cost between $10 - $33.00 you can easily blow well over $150.00 on this game. If you can get the little dolls and vehicles when they are on sale then it might be worth the high dollar price tag.

My son LOVES the newest addition. He plays it after his homework is complete and all day on the weekends. I became #1 mom of the year when he received this as a birthday gift

I have purchased each of the prior Skylanders titles and enjoy this new one. Thanfully they have partnered with Nintendo to ad some classic and fresh charactets

Got this for my kids for Christmas. they are looking forward to playing it. I do dislike buying the new characters but I like that you can use the older ones.

If you enjoy the Skylanders franchise, this entry adds enough new elements and contents to revitalize the series to make it feel fresh again. The racing elements are done well, easily enjoyed by both children and adults alike. The new characters are creative and interesting, not just rehashes of previously released characters that feels more like a money grab than new content.

The skylander series is one of the most robust there's is when it comes to toys to life which started as a spin off of the Spyro the dragon series, this game being the fifth entry in the series, introduces a nice mechanic of vehicles that can be combined with elements characters for use during gameplay. The game itself its a very fun plat former for all ages to enjoy.

The only other Skylanders game I've played was Giants and while it was fun, but this game is something else entirely. I'm 26, so a little out of the demographic so a lot of things don't really line up well for me. I don't mind childish games but Skylanders sometimes seems too pandering to the intelligence of children with its story and characters. I get that it adds more appeal for even younger kids, but I found myself skipping all the cutscenes when I could. Still, imagine Gauntlet, but new! That's essentially what this is. I highly recommend playing with a friend and buying a few figures that are discounted of different types. I got Bowser and DK and they were awesome, but I found some others for cheap that I really liked too! Each stage was a totally new experience and actually kept surprising me with how creative they'd get. If you're on the fence, give it a shot.
