The installer was 100% amazing. He communicated throughout the scheduling process, quickly installed the product and helped setup the app connection. I really enjoyed the conversation we had while he was installing the thermostat. Some installers can’t work and talk at the same time, which to me is boring. This guy was awesome! Highly recommend Best Buy installation.

I went through many installation dates and for one reason or another they were cancelled. Then the final installation appointment called me to say he isn’t licensed to install thermostats in NJ! He was so wonderful and ended up coming out doing my installation anyway and did a wonderful job! I love the thermostat and wish I had one years ago like this!

Very quick installation. Installer knew a lot about the device and helped to ensure setup on my phone. Could of used a little more detail on other functions.

The first technician was kind and helped me understand why I needed to switch thermostats. He didn't just rush away. After I exchanged it, the second tech came and did a great job installing the thermostat. I'm so glad I got a pro to help me.

The technicians were knowledgable, arrived on time and were helpful Even after the install, they were available to me to ask questions as I got used to my new device. Time of install was very quick.

The 2 guys that came to my house were subcontractors and not Best Buy Geek Squad employees. Their knowledge was limited. They were able to put my thermostat on the wall and that's about it. They are not licensed in heating and cooling. Because my house was built in 1999, the wiring was not made to be compatible with "Smart systems." So, I had to call a licensed heating and cooling guy to change out the wiring in the attic. For 2 Nests - 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs I paid about $200 extra for that service guy to come.

The technician came out to install, after 15 minutes announced that he could not do the install of these thermostats. He texted me later telling me that he had called Honeywell and found out that he could do the installation if I purchased a few additional parts. That was the last I heard from him. The company he works for kept calling me several times a week to reschedule the installation, but I kept telling them that he never told me what parts to purchase to make it work. Finally gave up and had the thermostats returned for a refund, only to find out that BestBuy decided to charge me for the installation that never happened, even thought the thermostat included free installation. I have now spent over 10 hours on the phone and through chat trying to get the installation fee refunded to my credit card. Problem is that there is absolutely no way to contact the store directly and I live 50 miles away. Over two weeks later I still have not received my refund.

Horrible experience. We bought from Bestbuy because we were Total Tech members which meant that we had the benefit of free installation. We bought about $1,000 in ring equipmet. The Bestbuy sales person was great. He scheduled the installation for the following weekend. Well, on the day of installation, the third party installers never showed after giving me excuse after excuse. I called Total Tech who said that they were looking into it and they would escalate the matter and that someone would call me back from Total Tech. Im still waiting for that call from three weeks ago. I was also told that i would receive a call from the store that i bought everything from. I never got that call either. I ended up installing everything myself. Cameras, doorbell, alarm system, retro kits and thermostat. Then I received a call three weeks later from Total Tech wanting to confirm my scheduled installation of my ring doorbell for tomorrow. You cant make this up. It was a complete disaster and apparently zero communication. I would give this review zero stars if it was an option.

Superb customer service. He went above and beyond trying to A) work with us to schedule the installation, despite BB system glitches, and B) keeping us updated on his arrival time. Once there, he was knowledgeable, efficient, and helpful in getting our thermostats installed, connected to our WIFI, and functioning properly

Great service. Install rep. helped recommend a product when the purchased product wouldn't work and helped coordinate re-scheduled install for the next day after I exchanged for the appropriate product.

The installers weren't successful in installing, put back on my original thermostat and couldn't get it to work. They told me I had to contact my own HVAC company and pay them to get the old one working. I'm still trying to get the refunds sorted out.

I ordered this online and was a bit worried it might not work. Installer arrived within his timeframe and was also a bit worried it might not work with a heat pump. No worries though, once he took the old thermostat off he knew it was a great match and fitted the new one in pretty quick time. He helped me set it up and I can now adjust my cooling and heat from my phone its great. Great buy and a lot less than the Nest etc.

Purchased Nest Thermostat and was installed by 3rd party company Mastec from our Best Buy tech plan. Kevin Andrerson from Mastec did a very great job setting up and installing the thermostat and also setting it up w/ google home app. We are very pleased that Best Buy sent him for our Home Automation setup and installation. We will request to work with him again in the future.

The installers did a great job setting up this smart thermostat, including connecting it to the internet. They took the time to make sure I knew how to use it, & explained that they couldn't check if it worked with the A/C because it was a very cold day. They gave me phone #'s to reach the service supervisor if there were any problems. I was quite pleased with the installation process. Would highly recommend them.

The installers did not really know what to do in my situation as an extra step was needed. I had to contact my AC company to get information for them. They arrived on time, were very nice and considerate, so I am giving them a 3 star rating.
