I thought the movie was very realistic of true events and offer some insight into what is going on in government, the CIA and the real world. I think everyone should watch it.

This movie presents an idea and a story of how technology is being used as a tool for giant corporations and government agencies. It's really interesting and posits how little we might be paying attention to what we agree to, and what we allow access to.

The acting was good but this is a movie you would probably watch one time and put it into your collection. and watch a couple of years later.

Although I have not watched the one I purchased yet I have seen the movie before & knew I wanted to view it again as it is a great story!

Snowden is a great movie that makes you think about how much spying the U.S. is doing on it's people. To be honest I thought Edward Snowden was a traitor before seeing this movie. I didn't know all the information about what he did before seeing this movie. Even though this movie doesn't tell you everything it does a great job telling the major parts of his story. The actors did a great job and the pacing is good. I like that this movie started when Snowden was in the military and you got to see what happened to him through his career and eventually him living in Russia. I still think he should pay for telling the public information he swore to keep secret I understand more why he did tell. You will enjoy this movie even if your not into technology or understand all the tech lingo spoken. Overall this is a Sunday afternoon rainy day movie to enjoy with someone.

I behooves all thinking and intelligent persons to know what Edward Snowden risked his life and career to reveal, and this movie gives the story with compelling accuracy. Some consider him a hero, others consider him a candidate for treason, yet if the facts on the ground are known and understood, he has to stand out as one of the most important figures of modern times. The movie in some places is astounding and eye-opening so far as how far, and to what degree, the NSA and CIA probes into the private lives of every American, everywhere on planet earth. The acting is good, and there are some sexy parts too if you're into that, but I would like to have seen the story and the details of it developed to a greater degree. Nevertheless, this portrayal provides an education and left me thinking for days after seeing it the first time.

'Snowden' is one of the greatest films from Oliver Stone in years. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, on the other hand, gives a masterful performance as NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. The film itself goes into great detail as it chronicles the backstory of Snowden's life and how he managed to pull off one of the greatest political exposures in U.S. history. As an added bonus, this DVD / Blu-Ray pack also features an exclusive interview with Edward Snowden himself while the end credits feature a montage of clips...including archived material from the now infamous 2016 U.S. election as well. In summary, if you like a well crafted docu-drama, then 'Snowden' is for you!

I saw SNOWDEN in the theater, and I couldn't wait for it to be released on DVD. I was fascinated with the Oscar-winning documentary, CITIZEN FOUR, and this film only served to reinforce the courageous nature of this brave individual. The film took a personal look at the man, so it brought him back to life in a way we can all better try to understand him as a human being. The performances were great, and the film was thought-provoking. Furthermore, the extras were fabulous. I am happy to have this DVD along side my DVD of CITIZEN FOUR.

I had no idea this movie existed, but have heard the name "Snowden" thrown around so I gladly bought it. It was a great movie. And there was more truth in it than anticipated. It is truly an eye opener! It will cause you to do things differently! It was even mentioned in the movie that foreign scammers will win the "Malware" American war. Ironically and unfortunately, my son was the victim of a Chinese "Malware" scam and lost 10K just days prior to watching this movie! Like I said: more truth than anticipated!

I truly admire and respect Edward Snowden for what he did. You can say he took one for the team and exposed the "man" and showed their true colors. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley had amazing chemistry and were great as Edward and Lindsay. The story is amazing as it shows you how he came to making the decision he did as well as everything he went through before that. The acting was great, directing, just everything. I recommend this if you wanna see a great biopic.

As director Oliver Stone would have it, the story of Edward Snowden is the story of how official America can't tolerate whistle blowers, who reveal official governmental wrongdoings. Stone is probably right and Snowden is a good example of that shortcoming of our government. Don't miss the interview with the real Snowden and with Stone and the cast of the movie in the special features. The real Snowden shows himself to be a truly selfless patriot who's getting a raw deal.

This is quite the movie! Not only does Oliver Stone render a thrilling story, Joseph Gordon-Levitt gives a captivating performance as the man himself. Seen by some as a hero, by others as a traitor to his country, this film entertains and enlightens with what leads to Snowden's decision to go public with what he found. Decide for your yourself and see this great film! And then watch the real Edward Joseph Snowden behind the scenes and in an interview...

My wife and I heard about the Snowden story in the news a while back, and we were interest in seeing it in the theater. But we couldn't find time, so when the movie came out we jumped at this purchase. All I can say is Wow!! this movie makes you think, what if? And with all the talk of wire taping, and spying in the news now it is a must see. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is great as Edward Snowden. It was so good, we have watched it a couple of times.

Oliver Stone's extraordinary take on Edward Snowden's act of revealing the NSA's operation of listening in and reading America's thoughts on any subject should be looked at by anyone wanting the background on why he did it in the first place. Outstanding portrayal by Joseph Gordon Levitt as Snowden and a first rate cast of supporting actors. Photographed around the globe by a great cinematographer, the movie moves along at a brisk clip.
