I had my eye on this tv for quite some time--wanted to upgrade from an older 40" 720p Samsung plasma. I assume the reasonable price is such because this tv lacks any "smart" features; though I see that as ingenious given the number of folks with Roku, XBOX, Apple TV, etc.. Picture is great, sound is decent, controls to setup sound from external devices pretty easy to use. BONUS: if using over-the-air tv (antenna), there is a "freeze" button. I'm not sure what I would do with that, but I'm glad it's there.

We bought this TV for my mother-in-law who was apprehensive about such a large set. She loves it! It has a good sound (without a sound bar) and the picture is crisp. A good value for the money.

The reviews were right. This is truly an awesome product. The colors are bright and very clear. The sound is better than I expected. DVD's, Blue rays, everything looks great on this tv.

I went in to purchase a LG 42inch for 279. Since the store was sold out I found this TV for $350 and am happy I went with it. It is a little bigger then the LG I previously wanted and Toshiba has been around forever!

I thought that the quality of the TV could have been better, but for the price I got it for, it is actually really good. I recommend this TV and will refer anyone who is looking for a nice size TV for a good price.

I picked this item up during Black Friday. I would gladly pay full price for this tv. The picture is really good as well as the sound. Was easy to assemble the legs and is very lightweight.

Got this TV on Thanksgiving day for 149.00. Such a good deal on an awesome product. The sales associates were very nice and so helpful. Great picture and size of screen. One happy customer.

Don't expect too much with this tv. Decent for the price, great for a spare bedroom. Not for living room entertainment.

This is great TV at this price. The picture quality is excellent. The prices are coming down like crazy ever year for bigger and bigger TV's. Was able to look at the store before buying so was a good experience.

I love this TV, it is not a "smart" but I did not need a wifi TV. It has a fantastic picture, dts sound, and works flawlessly with my retro setup of basic cable and Sony DVD jukebox.

Picked this up on black friday. Good for watching movies via apple TV. Sound is pretty good for how thin it is, much better than my higher end Vizio model. Cant be beat for the price.

This Toshiba 49 in tv was an excellent find. Ithe picture is great, the sound is good an even better now that I bought a surround sound. I feel like I'm in a theater. The tv itself is very light. I carried it by myself (45 y.o. Female). The menu choices are simple and once you get the right lighting where it is not too bright, the viewing pleasure was elevated. Highly recommend especially on a budget. I paid under 280. For 49 in.

I wasn't expecting top of the line but it looks good and sounds great.

The fact that the TV was cheap made me concerned about its quality. The concert was unwarranted. The TV works great!

I am very satisfied with this product. It has a very good picture and features and the sound is very good. I have had others in the past that I could not get much volume with.

Got this TV on BF for $150. At that price, it was a steal. It's not a primary set by any means but for a bedroom or basement TV it's great. I'd even venture to say it's a good deal even at $225-$240.
