I had been using the same 40" LCD flat panel TV since 2009, and I knew it was time to get a new one. I already had a Toshiba TV, so I knew I would be getting good quality at a good price.
I just never realized the sheer difference between an LCD TV and an LED TV. So bright! All the colors just pop!
The sound is nicer, too. Crisper. I imagine this is considered a 'budget' TV, but it is really something else. Great value for the price!

Bought this TV during a sale special and for the money it is a great buy. Not paying for a high end 4K etc. so as long as not expecting something like that, this LED HD is a great value for the money. Color adjustments manually may better serve you and can be a hit or miss. HD content such as streaming I do via outside device such as Amazon Fire is great and comes in better color than some TV channels.

If you are looking for a good basic TV with a decent picture, this is it. If you want a high end TV with lots of features and a beautiful picture, keep looking. I bought this TV for the kids' game room. Got it on sale for $279. Don't pay full price for this thing, it’s not worth the MSRP. But on sale it’s worth the money. Others got lucky and got it on Black Friday for $150, for that it was a steal. Picture isn’t bad but you will need to play with it a bit to get it just right. We are using it for gaming only, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Picture is good. Can get washed out a bit when the sun is hitting it in the late afternoon. If you turn the brightness up it will wash out the colors and end up too bright when the sun goes down. Not the most crisp and clear picture, but for a 49” tv under $300, you can’t go wrong.

I was a little skeptical about buying this at first seeing how cheap it was. But after reading the reviews, I gave it a shot. Turned out better than I hoped for. Picture is great and sound is loud since it is equipped with the DTS tru sound. It isn't a smart tv but all you need is a firestick, roku, etc. and it works even better in my opinion since some tvs apps stop working over time like my 2012 Sony smart tv. Great size for a medium sized room or living room, and the tv is very light as well. Too bad Toshiba doesn't make more TVs because they sell great quality products.I still own a 2008 Toshiba LCD that works perfectly until today! Great buy!

Really nice FULL HDTV for the money. At just over $300 with taxes and some other fees, this TV cannot be beat. 49", a decent picture, nice remote, and plenty of hook-ups made this an easy buy for me.
CON: 60hz and 9ms refresh rate on a 49" full hd tv is not so good.

I bought this TV for my mother. On sale at $279, it is an excellent value. Yes, there are better TV's out there but they all cost more money. At this price range for this size, this TV has a better picture, remote control, and color than BB's in-house brand (Insignia). So far, so good.

I purchased this TV on Black Friday at a steep discount, and while it is not a top of the line TV, it is absolutely good value for the money I spent. It took a little tweaking to get the picture settings squared away, but I'm pretty happy with where I have it now. Refresh rate could be better, but for what I paid I'm more than happy with this purchase.

Though my customer service was an entirely different matter, this TV is great. Paid $149, and is great for its price, has a great picture and menu, and is easy to set up and use.
I don't actually use the TV speakers, so I cannot vouch for the sound, but when I did listen to it before hooking up my external speakers it sounded good. Great purchase.

After searching everywhere I wasn't able to find any 49" or 50" (off brand and name brand) tv's under $300 other than this one! The screen looks amazing and the tv is very lightweight. The only downside is that it isn't a smart tv, but I can always buy a cromecast or a blu Ray player, then it's essentially the same thing!

Great TV for the price!
The unit only has 2 audio outputs, 1 headphone and 1 optical.
It would have been nice to have RCA outputs.
I was concerned about the 60hz refresh rate but haven't noticed any pixelation during high action/sports viewing.
If your one of the lucky ones to pick it up for $149.99 it can't be beat!

Bought it on sale. Good sound for tv speakers. The pic is fine after you play around with the settings. It has too much contrast out of the box, which makes it dark, maybe even washed out alittle. Look for the dynamic contrast in advanced settings. bring it down a notch or two. Make adjustments as needed to suit your taste through out, sound, ect.. Learning to adjust devices is needed, very rare you get something that is adjusted for your needs from the box. I bought this on sale because I had thought about buying it in the past. I have had a 32" Toshiba for around 4 years, and it has been a good tv, and out lasted 3 other brands I had. There are other brands that are as good/better than this one, but when a good deal comes along, I usually take it.

For 279.99 usd, this is a really sweet deal. You may need to adjust the color to get best result, but it's worth it. Good for movie, video game. 60 Hz refresh rate might seems low but it works. Perfect for people who have a tight budget!

For the most part the T.V. is good. It will take some effort to get the settings to your liking but once you do its pretty good. For the price I paid you can't beat it. I use it for watching sports and it usually preforms well, other than slight motion blur for hockey and basketball. For everything else its been great.

I brought this tv because my son was always gaming on my main tv in the family room. He instantly fell in love with this one. The screen is large and he is able to enjoy his gaming. He says the picture quality is good and he is really enjoying gaming with his friends. It was very easy to set up (just add the legs - I didn't wall mount), connect it to the cable and it was good to go. The three HDMI outlets was perfect for what we needed. My son is happy with his early Christmas gift and so am I.
Good buy at a great price. I got it on sale and now, it just went on sale for $50 less. I am going to take my receipt and get the difference.
