If you got this on Black Friday, then you got a great deal. If not, then in all honesty, don't buy this TV. Right now it's on sale for $379, but it's really not worth it. I've had this TV for about 2 weeks now. It's picture quality is average at best. My LG LED TV is far more sharper than this one and has the same refresh rate at 60Hz. The blacks are just not very good, and colors seemed to be washed out a tiny bit. Now if you just want a big basic TV to watch shows or movies, then this TV is fine. I've watched Blu-ray movies on this and it's still not as good. I've tried adjusting advanced picture settings and somewhat got what I was looking for. But it's just not as sharp and the color quality is not as good as other manufacturers. There's a tiny bit of motion blur when watching sports but nothing too terrible. Not all is bad with this TV, it's got 3 HDMI which is great. Other manufacturers only put 2 HDMI ports, so this one has an extra one. Great for hooking up cable/satellite boxes, game consoles, blu-ray players, streaming devices, etc. It's also got an optical out, antenna in, and a USB port. Sound quality is very good in this TV which really surprised me. It gets quite loud even at low-medium volume. The remote control is a good size, cheaply made but not a big deal and I just wish it was backlit but it isn't. The TV is pretty lightweight for it's size at 49 inches. I can move it around with ease anywhere in the house. I'm a techie and I know quite a bit about electronics and technology. If you're expecting crisp picture quality and color, I recommend that you look at LG, Samsung or Vizio. My best recommendation is to go with LG or Samsung (excellent sharpness and quality on both). Now if you just want a basic TV for a bedroom or basement, this one will probably do the job. As I've said it's not going to blow you away by any means, it's average at best. It's neither terrible or good, it's just somewhere in between. Would I recommend this? Not for $375 as it's being advertised right now. I would only recommend this to people that don't care too much about sharpness of the TV , but just a TV to watch shows and occasional movies on. For $375 get a LG or Samsung. It won't be 49-inches, most likely in the 40-43 inch range but you'll see the sharpness difference. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. PROS: - 49 inch screen is plenty big - Excellent sound quality - 3 x HDMI ports - Lightweight for a 49-inch TV - Toshiba is a reliable brand - Buttons on remote control are good. Remote control is a good size. CONS: - Colors not very good - Blacks aren't very deep - Lacks sharpness compared to others

Found this TV online for sell. Went to best buy the next day and it was no longer at that store. The store associate went to locate one at another store and he saw that their was still one left we found it on the sales floor together. Very happy with my purchase .

If you just need basic features with low price, this is an ok choice.

I ordered this online. I was a little hesitant. But It was ready for pick-up when I got there. Someone was there to help me load it into my car. The whole experience from beginning to end was awesome.

I purchased 3 of these televisions for our church a few months ago, and they are working great so far! We had no issues with them, and we use them a lot! I’d definitely recommend these TVs to anyone! Definitely a Best Buy!

I bought two of these TV’s during an in-store Doorbuster sale three years ago. One for my bedroom and the other for my then 6-year old’s bedroom. Both tv’s are still in perfect working order! Great product!!

A fairly good purchase considering the price paid.

I am very pleased with my purchase from Best Buy!! As I picked up my purchase the staff went out of their way to help get it in my car and very nice, friendly, crew. I've had no problems with my purchase and am very satisfied.

My last tv purchase went out under warranty & this is replacement tv. Wish we got it 1st, better deal with still same options, features & easy set up. I would have got this one 1st just due to manufacturer had I seen it 1st.

At 49" this 1080P model has average picture quality and is not overly fancy so far as features are concerned; even so, at the price point offerred there is no way to go wrong here. An excellent buy for the thrifty consumer.

Toshiba remotes are the easiest to operate. Have a smaller set which I love. The price for this was awesome for extra room tv but first bigger I bought that wasn't Samsung. Sure enough, picture is so so at best. Wouldn't use it for a primary with such quality but for extra room, it works. Bottom line, Toshibas are good for bedrooms, Samsungs are the hitters for blu Ray quality especially at 50"+. Insignias have junk remotes and stink and fail at over the air use.

After reading other reviews prior to my purchase I anticipated poor audio quality. I am surprised, being hard of hearing the set is loud and even I hear at minimal volume levels. The screen is clear and functionality is exceeded.

We purchased this TV by accident. We actually thought our tv was going bad. It turns out that we had an electrical problem, and did not need a new TV. We loved it so much that we decided to keep it.

It is what it is, no bells, no whistles. It has 3 HDMI, but we could use 4-5. If is had RCA output I could set it up better to the stereo than with the mini-jack output. I wanted a non-smart tv, and I happy with this one.

We always shop at Best Buy. It is fast and easy. The sales staff have all the product knowledge about the products and can provide advice. We have purchased more than 7 computers and several TVs. They make it simple.
