I bought this TV on Black Friday for $149. This is an excellent TV. It has been 11 days and it is working great. I have purchased $20 two year protection plan; just incase. I am looking forward to keep this TV for long time. I did my homework before making up my mind. I went to store and looked at the displayed model there. It helped me a lot in terms of what I am buying. CS staff was helpful in answering my questions. You really have to arrive early to get this type of deal. Which store rep has told me earlier as well. Glad I did :). There were ~30+ in-store. I did not count exactly though. Best Buy is a great company and very good customer service. Rest assured their Customer Service will always work and that is why I buy from Best Buy. I have also bought Acer 5050 Laptop 8 years ago; from which I am writing this Review :). They had my Laptop fixed under Manufacture Warranty. Anyway, about this TV I don't have cable at home; I use antenna to watch over the air programing. I have noticed one thing; Channel 2,4,11,13 and 50 are shown in 1080i whereas Channel 5 and 7 are in 720p. if you are a cable customer you may experience 1080p but I don't know for sure. Maybe this is how each channel is broadcasted not a TV issue. But even with 1080i and 720p broadcast I don't see performance or picture issue. Blu-Ray movies are over the top with this TV and Yes, I checked it is 1080p with Blu-Ray. I saw someone asked earlier which settings gives good quality picture? I am watching over the air broadcast using "Native", "Movie" mode. Movie mode gives clear picture quality as compared to others in this TV. I would have preferred to watch in 120Hz for games but hey 60Hz is just fine for the way this TV has been configured. I am completely satisfied and hope to get 70" from Toshiba TV next Black Friday :)

I bought this as a replacement for a 10 year old plasma TV, also purchased at Best Buy. I couldn't be any happier! Picture quality is superb! Hook up is a snap. Can't really comment on sound, since I turn off the internal speakers and use a AV receiver and surround sound system. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for one in this size and price range.

Picture is not the best even in HD-not sharp. It is almost like it is an older tv.

I managed to snag one of these on Black Friday for the low price of 149 i have to say this is rhe best TV ive seen even after looking at the tvs on display at store this one is the best sound is amazing the bass is clear and coming from a 24" vizio im amazed at the huge size difference now i can watch movies in true joy all around perfect television so happy i got it for such a great price at 149 dolla best purchase ever! I bought this device for someone as a gift and it works.

This was a great tv for the price it has 3 hdmi ports. Setup was fast and easy.

would prefer to save money and buy insignia tvs they are better

No problems with TV. It is mostly basic and the picture is average.

I give it 3 stars, because the picture is not sharp.

The color saturation on this Toshiba is terrible with unnatural flesh tones. The backlight inverters also burned out really quickly. Can't tell you to avoid this tv enough.

Just started to unbox this tv and upon removing the thin plastic on the edge of the tv I noticed one corner of the tv is damaged and the screen is cracked on that corner...tv was packed well with foam on each corner, so I have to assume this item was damaged before boxing occured..in my opinion this is poor Quality Control...Now the process of getting this thing back to Best Buy...I ordered online and it was delivered in record time however....just wish it was all set to go up on my wall without having to go through the return process...

My old tube 35" Toshiba still looks pretty good 25yrs old, so staying with Toshiba was easy BestBuy didnt have the 40 or 43 in stock so stepped up to 49, just fits on top of my dresser glad I did, fills bedroom nicely and connected to my computer so easily

What a great deal for this TV. I bought it for my son on Valentine's day who is a big time gamer & he LOVES it. The picture is great, the sound is great & with an added Chromecast it's now greater! Too bad I waited a few days before deciding to buy another bc the price has gone up from $279 #Bummer. Though well worth the slightly higher price I think I'll wait until another steal if a deal as I didn't need another TV I just loved the one I bought I had to have two!

I purchased this TV on Black Friday last year when it was on sale for $150+tax which was around $170. I had to wait from 8am till 5pm to get it but I definitely do not regret all that time,it was worth it! The picture quality looks great on it and the sound quality is pretty good,it also can go very loud but don't expect surround sound system SQ with a lot of bass from this TV. I use it as a moniter via HDMI for a custom built gaming pc that I also use for all types of media from music to movies and to high end ultra settings gaming. This TV does not suffer from any input lag while gaming from what I've seen in the 4 months that I've owned it. It does have several different modes for the type of input you are gonna use such as PC mode,gaming mode etc. One warning is that it will get bright on default settings,bright enough to light up most of a large bedroom at night so I had to turn down the LED backlight settings. Even at the current sales price of $300 I would still buy this TV.

Toshiba no longer makes TV's and it shows. For the price, I'd be better off with a low end Sony or Samsung.

Three years and it's toast. Connected to basic cable and that's all and after three years the screen went black. Glad I didn't get rid of my 15 year old trusty Sanyo. Pulled the Sanyo out of storage today and it works perfect. Figured Toshiba was a better quality and step up from the Sanyo, but I was definitely wrong.

I bought this to finally upgrade the 6 year old 32" Sony in my living room, which was adequate in my former, smaller home. I'm not a huge TV watcher, so I didn't want to spend a whole lot, and didn't need Smart TV capabilities as I already use Roku. This set was on sale for $380 and I decided to give it a try. When it arrived, it was DOA with a damaged screen. Best Buy quickly shipped out another one, and sent UPS to get the damaged one. The second one was fine, but needed some serious tweaking as the picture was pretty bad out of the box, which is a recurrent theme of the reviews. I got it dialed in pretty good, and the picture is quite excellent given good source. I also use the optical output to my Onkyo system, so the on board speakers aren't an issue, but yes, they're pretty mediocre. The set is very well built and should last years. Oh, almost forgot -- while waiting for the replacement set to arrive, it went on sale to $280 on Best Buy. I called up Customer Service, and they honored the price and reimbursed me the difference! So for $280, I got one heckuva deal!!

I jumped on this deal. 49" for $300! Must say the picture was fairly lousy straight out of the box and considered taking it back. I had to go into Setting Menu to bring it out the best. Adjusted picture to Movie Mode but most important was setting the Picture Mode to "Native". It was on "Full" from the factory. That one adjustment made all the difference for me. Totally Satisfied

Color off on picture know matter how much I adjust it.
