I wanted a larger TV because we watch a lot of imported programming and use Closed Captioning. We also get very good programming through the air, so we wanted a TV that still had the program guide feature. We already had a Roku, so a Smart TV was not necessary. This TV offers a good picture and good sound. It does not offer top-of-the-line picture definition or sound, and does not control the volume of commercials. The stabilizing feet that attach to the bottom provide excellent support, for those who do not want or need a wall mount. This TV provided the perfect combination of features for me for the price I wanted to pay.

The picture far exceeds my 5-year old Sony Bravia and the sound (per my wife) is at least as good as the Sony. With the 60Hz I found basketball games were just fine with no noticeable blur. I did sometimes see minor blurring with football games mostly from panning from one side of the field to the other rather than on deep passes. The blur is barely noticeable and if you are not looking for it, you will probably not even see it. I would have given this set 5 stars except that I depend on closed captioning and their closed captioning is rather poor and hard to follow even after customizing. Also, the captions can be in the middle of the set and cause undesirable blocking of the picture.

It's huge and cheep which is great! The reason is certainly the picture quality. When compared to other sets that are LED HD this one can't compete. Granted when I bought it I thought the price was due to the fact that now with 4K out and other TV's being "smart" I was getting a fab deal because this one is considered out dated. The main thing I wanted to share is that if you play with the settings enough you can get the picture quality higher, not quite what I"d call HD but pretty close. The initial settings are bizarrely bad. There was a ring around main characters where they didn't really join in with the rest of the scene, weird! I've haven't seen anything like this before. I played a lot with the picture settings and now everything is great, just wish it had more definition but sharpening the image messes up other stuff so, it's good where it is. Oh and the sound is strange too. The voice setting is about the same as the background so it's harder to focus in on what's being said. Just hook it up to a sound system and that gets fixed. If it weren't for that the sound would be great.

Purchased this tv for my son for Christmas. Was he surprised! He is loving this television. Good quality picture. Excellent value for the price. It wont disappoint.

Let me begin by saying I read a lot of reviews and thought about a Smart Tv perhaps Samsung. It seemed the better ones were over $1000 way too much for a 2nd TV. So I purchased this online and it arrived by UPS instead of delivery and they didn't ring my bell because I didn't get a 50 inch model. Anyway, when I unpacked it I found the screen broken so I contacted Best buy. I told the service person that I wasn't happy. Her name was Kendra and she was fantastic, she contacted the closest store and reserved a like model for me and gave me the case number and told me who to talk to. I arrived at Best Buy store in Augusta, GA and talked with Ebony and she got me a like model and she said the set came down another $75. I asked if I could open it and check the screen before I took it home. Ebony told me that was fine and even helped me pack it back up. I got the TV home, very easy setup and the screen and sound are both great. I love great customer service which is why I stay with Best Buy for all my electronic purchases such as laptops, tv's, etc.... I'll write another review of TV after another 6-8 months. Very satisfied and keep up the great customer service.

Picture is very very good. It's NOT a 4K type of picture, but it's a clean crisp picture. Reputable toshiba brand continues to live up to its trademark. For 349.99 (387.00 w/taxes) it's a "hella of a deal."

Bought this TV for black friday, this TV is truly amazing for the price. Picture quality is pretty good, HD movies / games look really good on it. Sound quality is actually pretty good as well, its not tinny sounding like some of the other TVs I've purchased before. Time will tell how long it will last.

I was skeptical that this TV would be anything fantastic for the price, but I was wrong! Listen to the 5-Star reviews here!! The picture is perfect, and if you have any need to tweak the settings, the menu is easy to use. The sound is also incredible. In my bedroom I can hear dialogue clearly at Vol. 5; If you crank it up to 50, it'll blow you away! Definitely the best HDTV for the price. It's also super sleek, and would be easy to wall mount.

I purchased this during black friday. I was one of the lucky people who got this product for $150 & I don't regret it. Good picture quality and the sounds is okay. I would recommend a sound bar for a bigger and and better sound experience.

Toshiba has been a trusted brand, my 5 year laptop still works fine.I bought the TV for $149.99 during black Friday. Its worth the money, the picture quality is descent and sound is quite good(bass is clear). Has 3 HDMI ports and a USB port, Plugin a newer version of chromecast/ wifi Blue-ray player and transform the tv into 49" Smart LED TV for less than $200.

The picture is very clear and the sound is fine. I did have to adjust the settings to tone the brightness down and use standard picture mode instead of the dynamic mode. It's a good deal!

Beautiful picture quality. Great price for the quality of the product. Has alot of HDMI ports- 3 and a usb port. The screen goes almost to the edge, very small bezel. Definitely recommend!

I purchased this television on thanksgiving day. Let me tell you this is a great TV great picture and the speakers on this tv are perfect. i highly recommend this tTV

Sooo so so pleased with this purchase. I did a lot of price comparisons and this was clearly the best deal of all the neighboring compeditors. Even though I was lazy and slept thru the AMAZING Black Friday sale price, I picked it up a week before Christmas and got it for $379. Still a great value, very pleased.

I was lucky enough to get this tv on Thanksgiving Thursday , and was surprised on how good the sound quality is. The picture on the television was also surprising on the clear crisp display. Overall for the price and a brand that's reliable, I say is a good choice.

This TV is amazing. The colors are bright and the blacks are very dark. I was amazed at how clear the picture is and the sound is also very nice. And finally the very thin bezel makes the TV itself look perfect. For under 300 what more could you ask for?
