I love this portable WiFi device. It is perfect for travel or even when I am working in my backyard - my new work from home office. It is easy to set up using the Solis App. I use the pay-per-day option for data so that I am only paying when I need to use it. It saves me money when I travel internationally too. I no longer need to purchase my cell service's international travel plan. The Solis connect up to 10 devices so in addition to my laptop I use it with my phone and then use WiFi calling. It is so light and portable I just stick in my bag or back pocket.

We purchased this pocket wifi in preparation for our trip to Japan and it didn’t disappoint us. It was a huge help in areas/places where our phone service wasn’t working.

This little device allows me to stay connected while we travel. I am updating from their old version because we love it so much! We have used this device in multiple foreign countries (no, it doesn't work on cruises though). The simplicity of having an extra boost in your pocket is unmatched by any other device I have tried!

Good product for what it is. Just keep in mind which plan you purchase. Some plans are better for other uses. I like to game online, so I need to choose accordingly.

Owned one for a few years that I had to share so I bought my own. Has worked well in London every trip. Had a couple of iPhones, iPad, and computer using it simultaneously and heavily at times. Had it in our pockets and took it everywhere we went around the city. Battery lasted all day and signal was strong pretty much everywhere we went. Can’t remember how it did in the tube though. iMessage will sometimes not receive pictures or graphics but I think that’s more of an app issue b/c WhatsApp received it perfectly fine. Also use it frequently when traveling for various reasons around the US. Works well. Price for use depends on gigabyte usage. So far the most versatile hotspot product I’ve owned with the best option for gigabyte plans I wanted. Looked at other hotspot equipment and plans but none of them were really what I thought would work for my needs. Don’t want to have to buy another one for international travel if I can have one that works well enough for both domestic and international locations. Virtual SIM. Customer service not the best and app isn’t great but no complaints for the product itself. Also more than I wanted to spend on an older product but still works as I need it to.

I bought this for a temporary internet connection. I live in the Los Angeles, County and always got a strong signal. Not good for gaming, streaming, watching Netflix or youtube you should probably just install regular internet at home. This will cost way more to run.. for example $6 per GB Works great for checking email and internet sleuthing. The battery power depends on usage but for now I can probably get 10-12 hours of battery power. Customer service has been helpful. I reached out through the online chat messenger and got help within minutes. There was some trouble shooting and resetting that came up but they walk you through it . .

This was an easy set up. Took me just a couple of minutes. It also works very well. I can't wait to get out where I can camp and make sure it is getting the cell signals for my data usage. Good point is that it uses all cell company signals and not just one you subscribe to. The bad thing - the cost of the data is actually quite high and I hope this comes down. I hope to be able to work on the road and I love camping. Bring the cost on the data usage down and it will get a 5 star for sure.

I'll preface this with, the first test run I had of this product was in Guatemala. So not the most developed country in the world, and I was in some pretty remote areas where this device couldn't get a signal, so I'm not sure if I would fault the device terribly for that. The locals with cell phones did have a network signal though, so it was odd that people could get a cell phone signal but this little device couldn't. But regardless, when this device did have a signal, it was very dependable and very fast, and I liked having my own, private, secure WiFi to use. Between me and my husband's 2 iPhones, we used about 2 GB of data over the course of 10 days internationally. The battery on the device easily lasted all day long too, and the app makes it very easy to track and see data usage and battery life. I'm sure this hotspot also works like a dream in more developed countries as well.

    Great Wi-Fi Hotspot

The Solis Lite is a great wi-fi hotspot depending on your needs. Set up: Solis makes the process really easy you download the app and fallow the instructions. Everything is laid out in easy to read text and all of the options are available at your finger tips. App: The application is easy for anyone to use and you can do just about anything from it (change plans, cancel plan, chat to customer service) and all of these things occur instantly. The only thing I wish they would add is that you can control the hotspot while not connected to it (yes this is a unique situation however I was using it for my gate where my wifi was not reaching) Connectivity: Solis allows you to connect to multiple different networks (depending on where your at in the world) and automatically switches to the one with the strongest signal. This makes it a better option than going to a carrier as your not limited to one network. The wifi signal is ok but not the best. The Solis also only works on 2.4 or 5 ghz at once which was a bit disappointing. Overall the Solis was just what I needed for my gate situation and the price point is perfect when comparing it to wifi hotspots from any of the 4 big carriers. It does have some downfalls as the signal strength and not being able to remote into the device or having to be there to manually update it but the level of customer service makes up for all of this.

    Great WiFi for Travelers

Great little WiFi hotspot! I bought this for my international travels. In January 2022 I traveled to Barbados and Saint Lucia in the Carribean and this little guy worked exceptionally well. As soon as I landed I was able to turn it on, connect to the WiFi and effectively have internet to get in touch with my hired shuttle driver and my friends. The battery lasted pretty much all day and allowed me to get internet on my phone at the beach, in the ungle, wherever I needed it. In about two weeks I used a little over 1 GB of data, but I had a bunch left from purchasing 20GB during Black Friday :) Very convenient for frequent travelers who don't want to have to worry about purchasing new SIM cards each time they move to a new spot.

I bought the Solis-Lite 4G LTE Flobal Wi-Fi hotspot for summer Arts & Craft markets to ensure I had a secure internet connection. If I use it I cannot use my Square to accept payments. The Customer Support from Solis/Skyroam is non-existant!!! The website doesn't work as it NEVER lets me sign in, even changing my password EVERY TIME I want to log in. The device works great on our patio, but is not an option for a secure connection when used in conjuction with a Square. I hope it works when we are camping remotely, but I have yet to try it. Maybe it would be a good thing if it didn't work. I am trying to 'turn off' the service until summer, and I cannot even get in touch with the company to do that. If you buy this and have success with it. I hope you'll include that in your reviews. Good Luck!!!

This little device was great on a recent road trip - I was able to work from the car while my partner was driving. The only frustrating thing is that a few times, (when switching carriers I guess), it would drop the connection for a minute. I got cut off in a couple meetings, but it always got me back online quickly. But overall, reliable, convenient, FAR better wifi than I’d get using my phone as a hotspot, and the daypasses are affordable.

Works very well once it finds a cellular connection. Simple to set up. One upgrade would be to provide more data...20GB actually goes fairly fast and a little expensive at $50 a month. Would rather the unlimited $50 a month plan actually gave you unlimited 4G.

This works well but only in a T-Mobile or AT&T cellular area. Could not get it to connect in my town (Verizon area) until I drove about ten miles outside of where I live. Once it connected it worked fine and did what it is suppose to do. Worked with their customer support on live chat and first he said it wouldnt work in a Verizon area and then few minutes later said it should still connect to any tower. He said he reset something on his end and said to power down and wait. Still didnt help. Tried mutiple times. Dont try their emal. They say they can help then tell you to use live chat after a couple emails. I selected yes for would I recommend but it depends where you live.

Bought this to replace a Verizon Jetpack that was costing me 50 dollars a month even when I didn’t use it. This unit cost less and since the data plan I picked never expires I am saving a lot of money each month. Since it always scans and connects to the strongest cell system in the area I gives the best speeds possible every time
