I did not see this in the movies, as I listened to the reviews and fan reactions. I had the opportunity to see this later on and really enjoyed it. As a result, I recently purchased Solo: A Star Wars Story and recommend it to others.

Many critic review mentioned that this movie is not good, but to me, as Star Wars fan, it was OK. Plot related to Qira was not quite persuading, but overall Han Solo's quest was exciting. If you are a Star Wars fan, you would enjoy this movie.

I really enjoyed this film at the theater. It's fun to see a young Han Solo and his introduction to Chewy. It's action packed and doesn't disappoint. I don't have 4K so this Blu-ray version is a great addition to my collection.

I was a bit perplexed and disappointed that more people didn’t like Solo. I thought that it was a fun and surprisingly substantive dive into Solo’s backstory. Watched as a Star Wars take on a western movie, it works very well. Paul Bettany gives a fantastic performance as Dryden Vos. Emilia Clarke is equally as wonderful as Qi’ra, playing her complicated role convincingly. Donald Glover shines as a young Lando that I thought was the most faithful performance to the original Star Wars movies. He really does convince you that he’s a young Lando. Woody Harrelson does a good job of portraying a seemingly dry character in Beckett that turns out to make complete sense at the end of the movie. However, you can see the scraps of a movie that had to be rescued mid-production by Ron Howard. The “feel” of the movie seems to shift mid movie to a more story focused mindset, which I felt was a good move. Most of the first part of the movie drags with very little character exploration. It seems you’re 45 minutes into the movie and still haven’t met all of the major characters. Also, L3 is an interesting character that both somehow manages to bring humor to the movie but also annoying you all at once. The group of heroes never really seem to meet any seemingly insurmountable challenge. You never really feel like there’s any chance they’re going to fail at what they’re doing so the movie leaves you really unsurprised when they manage to squeak out of trouble. Still definitely worth a watch in my book. My expectations were high for this movie despite the fact that it seemed to be left for dead by the hardcore fanbase before it even hit the box office. Give it a chance and I promise you’ll like it.

This is by far the best Disney produced Star Wars film yet. Great visuals, a simple story and quality acting especially on Donald Glover playing Lando. I also love the look of the Millennium Falcon in this. A must have for any Star Wars fan.

If you can get past a different actor as Han, this is a fun movie. The action is great and the visuals are nice. The SteelBook is a great way to own the movie. I feel it protects the discs better and I love the feel and the artwork.

I didn't love Solo, and I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but it is definitely worth a watch. The cast is pretty strong and Alden did as good a job as I think you could expect playing a young Harrison Ford. Donald Glover is great as Lando as well.

This is a very good film, and defiantly deserves a watch. Movie has a good story, good acting, and a good plot. I will admit it takes a few minutes to get used to someone new playing Han Solo but I thought he did a pretty good job.

Disney is trying their best to kill the franchise apparently. But this was a good movie. They say it wasn’t box office smash, but everyone I know likes it. Maybe they should listen to us and not the experts

this movie did a nice job of giving the origin of Solo. It was fun and fast paced. I was surprised that it did not do better in the theater. it was fun to watch and a good addition to the star wars story collection.

Solo in 4K makes all the difference. I find that movie theaters do a great job visually. However, it does not compare to an actual disc. The effects in the movie were decent, the Dragon Queen plays a good role.

The video was great. However, we wern't paying sufficient attention when it was purchased as a gift. The BLUE RAY version was what was wanted, but it was out of stock, so this version was returned when the other was available.

This movie is alright for the average viewer and really appeals more to a big star wars fan. In fact it panders to them almost ever chance it gets as if the creators are giving fans subtle winks and nods just to make them smile.

Adding another movie to complete my Star Wars collection

While this movie is not as good as the main stream movies, it was surprisingly better than I thought it was going to be. There were several small parts that added or expanded on what was known of Han Solo. Worth watching!

I enjoyed the Solo Movie. I enjoyed the adventures of the young Han Solo and Chewy. It is an an action packed and fun movie. I am a big Star Wars fan and love it. I highly recommend this to Star Wars fans.

The star wars movies that have not had much JEDI action in the past have been less enjoyable. This is the first one that I really liked. It helped frame the character of Solo that we have followed for so many years.

Although the new Han doesn't have the same charismatic personality as when Harrison Ford played it, it's still very entertaining to watch. It did have a few plot holes but nothing that changed my opinion of the movie.

I enjoyed Solo very much. It may not be backstory everyone wanted, but it's the one we have. The only thing you need to know is how Han met Chewbacca and how they met Lando. That's it. The rest is gravy.

Good back story for one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Some scenes were shot very dark, and was hard to make out some of the action when watching this at the movie theater. Looks better on the Blu Ray disc on my 4K TV.
