    My wife needed a new backpack for grad school and found this to be suitable for all her needs. It's capable of carrying a laptop along with her things for class with designated slots.

    I looked at a lot fo backpacks before settling on this one and I've been very happy so far. Three main pockets with different purposes: laptop, files/notepads, and small assorted items. These are NOT just catch-alls. Then it has smaller pockets all over. I use the smaller side pockets for my Leatherman, tape measure, etc. The small front pocket integrated on the bottom front is great for bulky items that's would otherwise cause a "bag blister" like your cordless mouse, MacBook charger, etc. I have them in hermitshell cases and all lined up in there. Very adult looking compared to most laptop backpacks. It's balanced correctly to stand up by itself...on stable/level surfaces of course.
