They are pretty much always on sale. Are they worth $300? Are they worth $200 for the black Friday price? I think there is a good reason Best Buy doesn't have these on display in any of their stores. The are mediocre at best. I'm returning mine because I am willing to spend more money for better sound. Sonance does make great sounding speakers, and they are $999 and never go on sale. The Best Buy specials make the company look bad. I think in this price range, Monoprice might have better speakers.

Good for DIY home theater enthusiasts

It has decent audio reproduction. This could be a choice for the diy home theater enthusiasts. I only purchased this as it was on sale and I have more audio testing to do before I can recommend this to others.

Speaker died
