Product is loud and vibrating pad is effective in waking me. But there are some annoying drawbacks! I wake up at different times depending on my daytime school schedule and my nightshift work schedule. This means that I have to reset my alarm to different wakeup times, multiple times per week. This product retains the alarm time and has battery backup in case of a power outage. I appreciate these features. The process of setting the alarm is a different story: Changing the time that the alarm goes off is tedious work, as there is no "reverse" button--just a fast and slow button. If you are trying to set your desired wakeup time and accidently overshoot, you have to keep holding the button for another 30 seconds or so until the clock runs through another 23+ hour cycle. Then you have to switch from the fast to slow time set buttons to ensure you dont make the same mistake again. This clock has dual alarms. I am a heavy sleeper, so I always set both. This means that even without mistakes, I often have to spend 60+ seconds trying to set this clock to the correct alarm times. This is annoying if you are already exhausted and just want to get to bed. This feature flaw has caused me to mess up my wakeup times in the past, causing me to be late for school/work. In conclusion: This is one of the better clock options for heavy sleepers like me (I suffer from narcolepsy). However, setting this clock to the correct alarm time is a pain. There are other product options out there that have "reverse" time-set buttons--I would go with another choice if I did it all again.

Bought for high school son that sleeps through everything. Between the adjustable tone and volume along with the vibration unit that shakes the mattress. My son awakes without human interaction.

I have some hearing loss and my old alarm clock wasn’t doing the job. I would sleep right through the alarm. This alarm is loud enough to wake me with no problem. I haven’t used the shaker yet. Can’t comment on that...

With this alarm clock you almost have no choice but to get up.

Easy to set up. Can only go "forward" and not in reverse to set time and alarm wake-up times - This is a negative. Like the thin, relatively small footprint. The face is large which is a plus for seniors or some one with visusal impairment.

This is the best alarm clock I have ever had. I’m very hard hearing and getting worst all the time. This clock keeps me from oversleeping. Also I like the large numbers that I can see from across the room. I like the two different alarm settings.

I find the middle range tone the best for waking me up while the volume is on high. I haven't tried the vibrator yet. I left the time it rings at the factory set.

As I am very hard of hearing I could not hear the regular alarm clocks. This one I definatley hear and it is not too loud for me. Other people in the house may not like it. The vibrater does not really do anything.

Great for those who have a hard time waking up! Try it.

This clock is just what anyone would want. Yes it’s plain but it’s large enough to see w/o my glasses. That was the biggest benefit for me. When I wake up in the middle of the night I got extremely tired of searching for my glasses.

My son (12 years old) sleeps right through this alarm. I purchased it because they said it was LOUD. Well its not. Now I am heading back to the store to look at clocks in person vs buying online. With that said, it works and has not stopped working. The alarm does go off however its just not loud enough.
