This game is a classic this brings me back when I was a little kid just an awesome classic

Out of the box, the statue LED is broken/disconnected. You then have to google for a fix, or return it. The game itself is great! The best 2D Sonic ever, IMO!

I love almost everything about this. The game is amazing, abd the sonic figure is huge. I don't really care for the gold ring inside the cartridge.

A lifetime Sonic fan, I've been disappointed in many modern iterations of Sonic (poor project management, annoying voice acting, that whole "Shadow with a gun" episode), but finally, an incredible, momentum (not just "fast", momentum) based gameplay, amazing music and visuals, and Knuckles & Knuckles mode. Definite must-have for your library.

This is what SEGA should have done from the start to keep the Sonic franchise alive instead of doing all of those spin-off. This is a Sonic game through and through full of nostalgia starting from the graphics all the way to the remix music. Highly recommended if you love the old Sonic games from the genesis era.

I got the collectors edition and I was not disappointed with it. The 12 inch somic figure is awesome! The Genisis even says the classic "Sega" when you turn it on. The game itself is amazing as well. Takes you right back to the classic Somic games.

Love the statue with the Sega genesis as the base. Bigger than I thought it would be which I am done with. The genesis cartridge is cool containing a replica ring. The game is really fun. Should've been the actual sequel to Sonic 3.

Sonic Mania is just amazing! New zones and returning zones as remixed levels are awesome. Three playable characters include Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. The Collector's Edition is totally worth it for any Sonic fan.

Game is good, statue...not so much. Its expected though, didn't cost that much.

Great Nostalgic Package. Throwback to the original Genesis packing. The included items and game exceeding my expectation. I wish Nintendo would do things like this with a retro style game.

Aside from the game, since I haven't played it yet, this collector's edition is pretty great. The most valuable things to me in these editions are the actual collectible objects, so getting a Sonic Statue with a nice guilty base and (finally) a replica ring from the Sonic universe, which is held in a replica Sega Genesis Cartridge, is pretty fantastic. The metallic card is also a nice little addition (for authenticity). I rated it 4/5 stars because of the lack of a retail copy. Otherwise a 5/5 if I were to judge it for what it is (since it was told to us in advance there wouldn't be a physical copy).

It's classic sonic back in all new glory. the collectors statue is beautiful and very large. the cartridge is a cool reproduction, the leads are actual metal but it does not work in a real genesis. the ring inside is very heavy and made of all metal. the metal card is a useless square, it does not have the game code printed on it, comes it a seperate slip of paper.

If you are like me and have been waiting since the era where Michael Jackson helped out with music for Sonic games to finally get another great one, you are in luck! This game is the throwback we have all been waiting for since Sonic & Knuckles finished up over 20 years ago. It's a nice mix of old and new levels. The levels from Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles have been re-imagined and you now abilities and items that you perhaps did not have in those games to use as your disposal. For instance, you can spin dash and use the fire shield in the Green Hill Zone in Sonic Mania! Stuff like that adds to the fun of the game and makes it more exciting. As for the actually collector's edition, the items are definitely worth the extra coin if you are a big fan of Sonic. It comes with a 12' Sonic statue attached to a replica Sega Genesis that you can add batteries to and it will make noises. It also has a metallic collector's card, the collector's boxing, and a mock Sega Genesis game cartridge for this game that has a "gold ring" in it like the ones that Sonic collects in the games. Overall, it's pretty neat and it's a great trip down memory lane. Pick it up!

If you're a fan of the Sega Genesis Sonic Games, then you need to get Sonic Mania. The CE comes with a nice statue of Sonic standing on a Sega Genesis, and the SG is actual size! The other things are nice extra's as well. Only down side? No physical game. The game comes on a piece of paper with a code on it. But still, buy this game.

As someone who fondly remembers Sonic the first time around on the Sega Genesis, I'm happy to see that Sonic Mania draws on the original games for inspiration, and succeeds! The Sonic statue is also AWESOME! I honestly wasn't expecting a full size replica of the Mega Drive/Genesis console as the statue's base.

The collectors edition of Sonic Mania is really nice, the box is well made, sturdy, and full of classic sega/sonic artwork. It is quite big though so displaying it can be a challenge. The contents of the collectors edition is a statue of a genesis/megadrive hybrid console ( with versions from all different regions built into the design) with Sonic himself on top. The statue has a 2 AA battery requirement to play the classic SEGA sound when you hit the power button. It comes with a neat metal card with rounded edges and sweet Sonic Mania art. There is a replica non working genesis cart for Sonic Mania as a "what if this was on genesis?!" kind of collectible, with a secret sonic ring hidden in the cart when you pull out the carts "chip". The game itself..woo boy..it comes on a digital paper of course, as it's not physical yet, but the game is amazing. Best Sonic game since Sonic 3 & Knuckles as far as the classic series goes. Must have for Sonic fans, or people just dying to play an amazing game, retro or otherwise.

I love this game, I am glad they released it! I would definitely buy more like this in the future.

This was a fantastic collectors edition! The statue is amazing and the sound effect gives you all kinds of nostalgia. Have heard people complain about the plastic build of the statue and the size but I think it's just right for showing off and well detailed for what it's made of!
