I did purchase the boost transmitter. I did contact sonos customer service and the adviser stated that this hub is no longer necessary.

Extend but slow

There were issues with them losing the wifi connection and the music got choppy. After hardwiring this to the router music played steady.

His recommendation of adding the Sonos Boost Wireless Speaker Transmitter has really improved our music enjoyment.

No complaints/concerns.

If you’re thinking this will work in a 2600sqft house with brick your wrong. I really wanted this to work but it just made things worse. I gave it to my friend and set it up in her hair study in an open room not very much distance and it’s working great.

Works as advertised

Takes the strain off of my wifi connections. Would be nice if they packaged this with some of their pricier speakers for a lower cost but oh well. If you have any Sonos connection issues you're going to want this device.

Nice to have if using mesh wifi

Using this as a bridge eliminates and of those headaches and everything connects seamlessly

Love Sonos

My WiFi is crowded because I already have a large smart home so for the hundred dollars it was well worth it.
