The problem I had was with the fact that it is a Google TV that would not let me install the Spectrum app. I had to install the Spectrum app on my son’s Xbox. The TV was already connected to the Xbox so I could cut on the the console, launch the app and watch Spectrum cable. I have to use the Xbox controller to go through the Spectrum guide but it’s better than Chromecasting from an iPad or iPhone.

I bought this 43" Sony as a replacment for a similar 43" Samsung (a brand new model) that I cannot recommend due to its abysmal sound quality and lack of software interface with YouTube TV. The Sony was more expensive, but it's a superior unit.

It lacks some features found on OLED sets, and does not have full array backlighting. No set in the smaller sizes does at time of this review. It does have many other features and like many other tech toys, doing is learning. No owners manual is provided in print. Unlike some other products I have in the electronics category, this one is user friendly. The picture is very high quality and the user can make adjustments to suit personal taste. These new sets can be tuned to display subtle nuances in tint, contrast, and even “color temperature”. I would recommend this product as a good bedroom or smaller room choice.

Then I purchased Samsung QLED TV and was also good but video would stutter from time to time. Maybe both of these issues had nothing to do with TV but after returning those two and getting Sony X80J, all my issues were over. Picture is awesome, sound is great, navigation of settings easy...love it! I've never seen bigger remote though...actually started to like that too.

Nice but frustrating at times...

Many times if I don't specify what input that I'm using (cable, antenna, Apple Air), the tv will give a 1-minute warning before auto-turnoff activates. I've left the room many times only to come back to a tv that has turned itself off. Such an idiotic feature! Sometimes for no reason it will revert to the Google Home screensaver too. Closed Captioning does not work with any NextGenTV channels at all. After so much frustration, I finally switched the tv out with one from another room and am now enjoying my Insignia TV which is frustrating at times but at least there's no auto-turnoff, and the Closed Captioning works well with NextGenTV channels.

The screen may have been turned off due to [Sleep timer] settings.
Check the [Duration] setting of [Timer].
Check if [Idle TV power off] in [Power & Energy] is activated.
Check if [Auto shut-off] in [Power & Energy] is activated.

Great Bedroom TV with great dialogue settings

Our great experience with our recent purchase of a Sony XBR65X900F had us look at this 43 inch. For the money, this 43 inch TV has great picture quality, and most important to us we can finally hear the dialogue. For the bedroom, we had to lower the brightness some and then we set the dialogue to Max and WOW!!! Finally can watch and listen to TV without the CC on.

Great TV for Senior Assisted Living Apartment

This is a relacement for a older (about 15 years old) Pansonic set the picture is better and the sound is the same. The TV should have a written setup if there are any questions not a download especially for older buyers that may not be computer literate. I was able to add Disney + and Netflix but I couldn't set up Hulu, Set this TV up twice the first time I got internet the second time I couldn't find out how to add internet.

Picture quality is superior for any room. A versitle device as you can connect your computer or use chromecast or Apple airplay. Also links to Google apps. I would definitely reccomend Sony products. Sony keeps a competitive edge by offering a large family of products that work seamlessly toegther. Again an excellent gift for the Man Cave or She Shed.
