This TV has a really nice picture, but the onscreen menu and remote control are too complicated. For example, it takes four steps just to get to the sleep timer menu. The Samsung is much better for ease of operation.

A bit optimistic about purchasing a Sony 4K, but the salesman at Best Buy convinced me it was a great buy for the price. So I purchased the product & guess what - he's right!

Due to space limitations I was looking for a big screen TV that has a centerized base rather than 2 bases at each end. It is hard to find but this TV had it (SONY TV's)

I've only had the television 4-5 weeks but so far I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the product. This is my second Sony Bravia TV and both were excellent!

The Sony XBR49X800D was very easy to set up and the TV up grade was automatic as soon as it was connected to my network

I bought this TV for my bar area and it’s wondeful. My only complaint is it seems like it always has to be updated which is a pain.

Started setting it up, it asked me to set it up with my phone that I was almost sure that it won't be working..., it got connected in half, then didn't respond at all, got in some way to select the channels and got my preferred 2-3 channels that I watch and let it there. Played few hours at the weekend to connect the phone, never worked..., still don't have the time to call Sony for help for the set up during the working days. The Sony engineers know very well that most of our "todays' toys" won't work or connect with the TV, but still don't make it any simpler to basically program the TVs in few steps. Bittersweet experience starting from buying it from Best Buy...

This TV was one of the best purchases I've made. Have it mounted in bedroom which is a perfect size. Sound isn't great but nothing a sound bar can't fix.

I'm giving it an ok because while the picture quality is great, the sound is just ok. Worst of all is an advertisement shows up on a portion of the screen and I can't get rid of it.

Bought this Sony HD tv about a month ago. Geek squad installed with the DVR/blue ray and sound bar. Main adjustment we have is that the picture/brightness is on darker than we'd like( settings don't seem to find the brightness).

Previous television was allowing us only to view 1/2 the screen and it occurred suddenly. We are enjoying each moment of watching our new purchase.

Very difficult for a 70 year old to set up, had our "electronics savvy" neighbor set it up...took him six hours...could not have done it myself :-(

Picture too large & subjects heads cut off @ top of TV screen. Even on HD channels & newer recorded programs 2015/2016. Not sure why this TV does that. Again the Color is Great !!

The television works well. Confusion with the installation, but it eventually worked out. The documentation (operating manual) is inadequate. I can't figure out simply how to set the timer. The online information is no help.
