Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and clarity of the 49" Class (48.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range. Many users also appreciate its user-friendly setup, affordable price, and suitability for gaming. While some users find the remote control to be cheap-looking and poorly designed, the overall positive feedback on the TV's core features outweighs these concerns.

Nice but smaller hanging up than I thought even though it's a couple inches bigger screen wise but my old one had a frame around it. color doesn't seem any better than the one that went out

This computer has been awful. I waited a couple of weeks to set it up after I purchased it because I was travelling. From the beginning the performance was really slow and not what I was expecting with a new computer. Within a few weeks it started locking up while browsing the internet. I would have to end the program in control panel and reboot the computer to continue. I travel every week and was only using the computer on weekends so it took a few weeks before I got so fed up that I called Best Buy to see about exchanging the computer for a better one and paying the difference. I was told it was past the exchange period and under no circumstances would they do that. He did say I could bring it in for a diagnostic. Instead I called Dell, was told I had to pay for software support which I did reluctantly. The last two weekend a Dell tech has remoted into my computer and made unsuccessful attempts to improve the performance. They are scheduled to remote back into it today and reformat it so we will see how that goes but I am not optimistic.

Best TV I’ve had so far

I’ve now had this TV for 7 years and it has survived a move and is still going STRONG! Even my sister who has bought much more recent TVs of other brands always compliments this TV for the picture quality and how vibrant the colors look. This was my first experience with a Sony TV and it hasn’t disappointed. Would highly recommend the brand.

The Android interface and built in Google cast are fantastic. No need to buy a streaming box or Chromecast because this TV has BOTH. The picture is really great. I have watched some Netflix and Amazon contentin 4k and cannot believe how detailed and bright the colors are. The only thing I don't like about the TV is the remote but the voice search button more than makes up for it.

Finally a Good Economical HDR TV

Very good picture quality right out of the box. Here is my buying history that forced me to buy XBR49X800D. I bought XBR43X830C for my guest room and was not satisfied with the Android Speed, Version and Picture quality. After 2 week use i decided to replace it with XBR43X800D. The difference was phenomenal. Just by spending $50 extra (I bought XBR43X830C for $700 and XBR43X00D for $750) i got great picture quality, latest android version (6.0.1), faster boot and user experience with HDR capabilities. I also ordered XBR55D850D for my bedroom for $1300 at the same time but because i was not able to carry that 55" box in Camry, i decided to take free delivery option. TV delivered after 2 weeks and meanwhile i enjoyed my XBR43X800D. When i got my XBR55D850D i was not impressed at all. Android version was old which i updated to (5.1.1) which was still the older version, TV was slow to boot, UI was sluggish, and most important Picture quality was not impressive as compared to XBR43X800D. Meaning TV was not good out of the box as compared to XBR43X800D. I tried to adjust everything to get as good picture quality as XBR43X800D but it didn't work. UI speed and older version of Android was killing me. I really wanted to keep 55" screen but i was not in a mood to deal with the inferior picture quality with high price tag. I replaced it with 49" version XBR49X800D and BOOM. Again TV astonished me right out of the box. I got every thing, Picture qulity, Boot Speed, lastest android and faster UI. Loving this TV :) I will update this review if i find anything worth sharing about both TVs Right now i own XBR49X800D and XBR43X800D.

We initially purchased a 50” Samsung UN50KU6300FXZA and tried that out for about a week. We really liked that TV, but we were having a problem with occasional audio skips on that TV so we ended up returning it and exchanging it for a Sony XBR-49X800D. I am not really sure that the Samsung had audio issues itself, it could have been something external (I ended up replacing a lot of cables and connectors as well). Since I ended up trying out both TVs, I can contrast them to some extent. The Samsung is a very stylish TV and looks a bit more upscale than the Sony. The pedestal seems a bit more stable, although both of them, being center stands versus the more common feet on either end, worked well with my TV stand. The Sony, on the other hand, is amazingly thin for a 49-50” TV, more-so than the Samsung. I tried the audio on both and I thought the built-in audio on the Samsung was a bit better, although for me it’s a moot point since I am using a Yamaha sound bar connected to digital audio out on the TV. There was something very pleasing about the picture on the Samsung, although the contrast and colors seem a bit better on the Sony, given proper adjustment on both. On the Samsung, when I had the motion smoothing and judder control features turned on, some broadcasts had a serious problem with the infamous soap opera effect and I found that, to avoid this and have a picture I liked I had to turn most of that stuff off. On the Sony, on the other hand, I am using some (not all) of those settings and I am not getting the soap opera effect like I did on the Samsung. I liked the “smart” features of the Samsung, including the arrangement of the user interface, a bit better on the Samsung than on the Sony, it was a tad more intuitive (although the features were similar). The Sony seems to have more settings for adjusting the picture and audio than the Samsung did, although I liked the interface for doing that better on the Samsung. The Samsung remote is small, elegant and confusing. The Sony remote is more traditional and has a lot of buttons on it (the Samsung remote hardly had any). Both TVs seem to work fine on my WiFi network and both were able to stream 4K content just fine (e.g. Netflix). The Sony has 4 HDMI ports vs 3 on the Samsung. The Sony TV uses an external brick on the power cord like a laptop (a big one), the Samsung has a normal power cord. The cables on the Samsung all plugged in from the side (in the back, but parallel to the back of the TV), the Sony cables plug into the back perpendicular to it (I don’t hang my TV on the wall, it’s on a stand, but I think the Samsung would have worked better for hanging on the wall). All in all, I don’t think you can go wrong with either set, they are both good TVs.

Picked this TV up before Thanksgiving. I had tried the LG 49UH6030 model from another store. Sports did not look good on the LG. They look great on this tv! Watched Art of More on Crackle and the picture looks 4k. Also have PSVue which is available as built in APP. It automatically saw my (DLNA) video server and streams them directly. In order to get xbox1s to recognize 10bit HDR You need to go to home>settings>external inputs>enhanced format.

    Great TV- Average Remote

Got this TV for Christmas, and have been very happy with it. Even when watching regular broadcast/cable shows, the colors are vibrant and the picture is very sharp. There are plenty of inputs, but I would have liked to see a toslink digital audio out connection to connect to my older Sony receiver. I would have given it a 5, but the remote is just average. The directional buttons are very small and easy to miss. I got a keyboard and that alleviated the remote problem. Overall, this is a great choice for a 4K TV if you don't have space for a larger one.
