I set up the new Sony TV Model:K50S30
I also installed a brand new Amazon Firestick on HDMI2. For some reason I cannot use the Firestick to turn the TV on or off and the volume / mute button won't work either.

Ensure HDMI-CEC is Enabled: Make sure that the HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) feature is enabled on your TV. This feature allows devices connected via HDMI to control each other. On Sony TVs, this feature is often referred to as "BRAVIA Sync". You can enable it by going to:
Settings > External Inputs > BRAVIA Sync settings > BRAVIA Sync control > On
Also, please check if this control is also available on your FireStick device. For this, please refer to the manual of the external device or you may also refer to the manufacturer of the external device.

This brav 3 can't set up favorites folders 1, 2, 3, 4, like the other Sony models. You also can't HEY GOOGLE without the remote control mic. Every thing else is ok. Cst serv lost connection with me 5 times in a row. I would not recommend this 50 inche tv .

Constantly disconnecting from internet do not buy.

Some quick recommendations: the TV must be within 25 feet of the router, try to use a 2.4 GHz connection, and check the date and time on your TV.

I cannot comment yet because, yes, we purchased the TV but it hasn’t been delivered yet! May I have a few extra days to try out the TV and then give a review in order to obtain the $5 reward?

WiFi stopped and Sony won’t do anything. Junk! Never buy again!!!

To rule out common signal or hardware hang-ups, please try these three troubleshooting steps:
1- Dual Power Reset: Unplug both your TV and your internet router from the power outlet for at least 2 minutes. Plug the router back in first, wait for it to fully boot up, and then plug in the TV.
2- Check Distance: Ensure the TV is within 25 feet of your router and that there aren't major physical obstructions (like thick concrete walls) blocking the signal.
3- Network Diagnostics: You can see exactly where the connection is failing by going to Settings > Network and Internet > Network Status > Check Connection.

I purchased an “Excellent condition” Open Box Sony Bravia. The box was damaged, the TV was loosly packed, filthy with fingerprints and trash from whomever returned it, missing the stand/feet, no manual and protective packaging. Complained to customer service and all they could do is send a return label and refund whenever they recieve it. WHAT A SCAM!!!

The product came damaged. When placing the return online it gave me a choice to return to store or via FEDEX. I returned to the store and the store manager refused to take it. I returned via FEDEX, but I am not sure why the store manager gave me the run around.

Cannot instsll a basic swivel tv stand to this tv as mounting holes on back don't fit any mounting screws,had a professional installer out & he's not seen anything like this, anyone else have this problem?

I. Bought a SONY tv at BB in October and was told to try around Black Friday to see if there were any reductions in the price I am paying. BB (in store) fobbed me off to a customer service number and told me they were ‘too. Fried’ bcs of Black Friday to help me in store. This is my first and last BB purchase.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem of your TV turning on and off randomly: Perform a Power Reset: Turn off the TV. Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. Turn on the TV.
Update the TV Software: Ensure your TV software is updated to the latest version, as updates can fix specific issues. Check TV Settings: If the TV turns on or off at regular intervals, check the timer settings and disable any timers.
For Google TV models: Disable the On timer or Timer. Disable the TV auto power on setting in BRAVIA Sync settings or HDMI CEC Settings.
For Android TV models: Disable the On timer. Set the Auto TV on or TV auto power on to Off. Set the Remote Start to Off.
For other TV models: Set the Timer to Off. Set the TV auto power on settings of the BRAVIA Sync settings to Off.
Adjust Energy Saver Settings: On the remote control, press the Quick Settings button. Select Settings. Select System. Adjust the energy saver settings to prevent the TV from turning off automatically.
